Re: Disappointed in the majority of gamers

Corporate business logic is crazy. Publicly traded companies would happily risk slowly destroying their whole industry over the next 10 years if it means doubling their profit for the next quarter, or it seems that way at least. Big publishers like EA and Activision routinely cancel projects that th...

Re: Lunar2 Ruining all other games for life?

I looked forward to Xenoblade Chronicles more than The Last Story, but after playing them both, I liked Last Story better. I didn't get swept up into the plot so much, but the characters are great, the dialogue is good, and the world is fun to explore. Xenoblade Chronicles was good too, but after a ...

Re: Last Anime?

Agreed whole-heartedly about Death Note. I loved that show; watched it twice, even. L is my favourite character. I recently finished watching all 52 eps (two seasons) of Kaiji on Crunchyroll. It's a slower paced anime, but the plot was truly great, and I tend to like seinen anime and manga. Now I'm ...

Re: What Are You Currently Playing?

Anyone here playing / played Evoland? I played it as a jam game on the Ludum Dare web site a while ago, but when they announced a full featured commercial version I didn't really care. Then recently I got it in a GoG.com sale and it's actually really good, at least for the part that I've played thro...

Re: Lunar2 Ruining all other games for life?

Is it just me or do all RPG games seem to blow chuncks now? Not just you. :) My mom says the same, It was the game she played in her teens and it has pretty much destroyed all RPG's for us. Two generations of Lunar fans in the same family! That is awesome. I'll go out on a limb here and suggest tha...

Re: Attack on Titan

It doesn't help that this season has tons of good anime... Do tell, what else are you watching? I can never keep up on anything, unless it's made by Gainax, then I'll make time for it. I'm still sticking it out with Flowers of Evil, with only 3 eps left to go. It has gotten better the more I've wat...

P4G is so, so good. That and Virtue's Last Reward have been the games that I've used my Vita for the most.

Ah yes, much better, thanks!

If I had more time on my hands, I'd be up for a translation project. I've always wanted to do one of those.

Ludum Dare 26

I made a game for the Ludum Dare 26 Game Jam. Well, me and three other guys. We're very happy with how it turned out. Our game is called Black Square and it's about the censorship of minimalist art under Stalin's gov't. Well, more like, that's the basis for the story... the game itself is about shoo...

Attack on Titan

Anybody watching Attack on Titan? Besides me, I mean. I like it. The story moves along at a good pace, it's got good art and animation, and I've been enjoying the amped-up action element, although the violence is extreme in some parts. There's been a lot of good fantasy anime lately (Maoyu, Sword Ar...

Lagunacure

So a while ago I was digging through my PS1 import game collection, mostly stuff that I bought from Hit-Japan on eBay in their big "30 games for $30" deal packs, and I have this one RPG that seems particularly obscure. The cover looks like this: http://www.gameofjapan.com/popup_image.php?p...

Re: DO YOU KNOW WHERE TIME HAS GONE

Something I find amazing about this Lunar fan community is that there are hardcore Lunar fans who got into the series post-90s. When I first got into Lunar it was '95 or '96, Lunar 2 was out for the Sega CD--which I didn't own, but my best friend had it. The only other JRPGs I really knew of were Fi...

Re: DO YOU KNOW WHERE TIME HAS GONE

And in 2003, I was close to finishing college. That makes me feel even older... In 2003, I was 19 and taking my first college classes. I'm starting to feel kind-of old too. In 2003, I had graduated from university and started working my first real career type job. It sucked! :) But I was very lucky...

Re: What Are You Currently Playing?

Mentioned this already, but I just finished Zero Escape 2: Virtue's Last Reward. I'm now playing DmC. Just started and I love it so far. I also started playing through the Mass Effect trilogy, again. My first play-through of the series was incomplete; never got through ME3. This time I finished ME1 ...

Re: Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch

I played the demo and I didn't feel like there was enough in it to make me feel one way or another about the game. What in the demo convinced you that the game is going to be so good? Well, I'm not evaluating it on story right now. Mostly just art style and game mechanics. Level-5 seems to be on fi...

Re: Why "The Empire Strikes Back" is the Best Star Wars Movi

ESB was actually my personal disfavorite. I mean, I didn't hate it or anything. I just didn't like it that much. Oddly, while many people hate RotJ, I loved it (awesome space battles, kickin' lightsaber duels). Aside from the ewoks. Yeah.... My prefs definitely changed as I got older. Before high s...

Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch

How 'bout that demo, eh? So good.

I think this will prove to be the best JRPG on the PS3. Although from what I've heard Tales of Graces f is good too, and I don't mean to make light of Valkyria Chronicles either.
