Re: Animal Crossing: New Horizons

I admit I didn't really think of Lunar-related islands other than Lann. And shortly after I named it Lann I realized I should have named it Lann Islet or something like that. The main reason I used that name was because in New Leaf I called my town Lyton and only realized later that Lann would have ...

Re: Least favorite Lunar 1 or Lunar 2 character

Just to make sure, you know it wasn't the real Lemia Ausa doing all that, right? She was imprisoned the entire time.

Re: Book of the Moment

A couple of days ago I finished the Wayfarer trilogy by Becky Chambers. The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet is the first one. Entertaining and thought-provoking science fiction; I'm not sure if it'd be considered space opera since I'm not sure of the exact definition of that, but it does take plac...

Re: Animal Crossing: New Horizons

I'm going to try to redo Thalia's dress in ACNH, since, uh, probably no one else is going to be doing hers. :) I had the New Leaf version on when HikariOmoi visited my island but the colors are a bit crude and I've gotten better examples since I made it. I also did a version of the Eternal Blue titl...

Re: Animal Crossing: New Horizons

My husband is the farmer, though I watched and advised. He stopped playing shortly before AC came out, when he hit some milestone I can't remember now. BOTW is mostly me, though. I was looking for Koroks and found 700+ before caving and using the mask. I still need to finish the DLC, though. We've b...

Re: Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Sure, thanks! I'll send a friend request tonight. I think it will come from user "Rombus". And if you want the sewing project I can give you that too. Other Lunar music: TSS village (the one I use): D F A - x D F A | G - F E - x x x x TSS Meribia: E C ^C - B A G F | E F G C - C vG C SSSC M...

Re: Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Wow, those look great! Thanks for sharing! I'll have to take some pics of my New Leaf outfits, since they look totally wrong on the New Horizons model. I've entirely missed how to do custom posters in NH, though...? I'm also seriously envious of your vintage sewing machine in that pic. I have the bo...

Re: Animal Crossing: New Horizons

I can't see the images (might be a setting on my computer, which had to be hastily secured for work-from-home), but it's cool that you did that! I did several dresses in New Leaf (Luna, Mia, Jessica, Althena, and Alex's mom), and imported them to New Horizons via QR code scanner, but they don't look...

Re: What Are You Currently Playing?

Yes, exactly. WD's removal of pentagrams from the SegaCD games could maybe* be construed as censorship by Sega of America (who required them to do it, hence why they're still present in the PSX games, because Sony didn't care), but the creators revising the plot on their own? No. Changes are not inh...

Re: What Are You Currently Playing?

Also finished Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete (PS1). I'm sill very critical of the plot changes/plot censorship. Sorry? I have absolutely no idea what you mean by plot censorship. Currently playing Animal Crossing New Horizons, like apparently half the world. I mentioned it briefly to a colleague...

Hello! Good to meet you. I hope you enjoy Lunar 1 (called SSSC colloquially to distinguish it from the versions on SegaCD, GBA, and PSP). Let us know what you think of it!

Re: MAGIUS - Magic School LUNAR! RPG

Yeah, I feel like the cover illo is striking a balance between her style and Kubooka's. The bodies and poses seem kind of like hers, but the eye shape seems more like his. That one of Barua and Memphis (? haven't played MSL yet) does look more like her, but the faces of the girls in the last one you...

Re: Book of the Moment

I don't do much reading these days outside of textbooks and such, because i get so engrossed in novels that I become nonresponsive to spouse, which freaks him out. So I have to ration them carefully. Last books I read were probably the two Lady Astronaut books by Mary Robinette Kowal (The Calculatin...

Re: What Are You Currently Playing?

Spouse and I have been playing Stardew Valley (he plays, I knit). Just started year 3. I've been using my old iPhone 4 as an iPod, since I now have a car without a CD player and I'd put at least fifty CDs of game soundtracks on that phone back when I could take public transport. The interface contin...

Re: MAGIUS - Magic School LUNAR! RPG

That's a nicely rare thing to get. I think I've only seen about three of them for sale ever, and I bought two of them (for myself and for Kizyr here). I also managed to find the MAGIUS guidebook for him, as I neither read Japanese (much) or play TTRPGs, and he does both. However, one of the unfortun...

Re: Shin Sakura Taisen fanart - Amamiya Sakura

Nice to see some of your work again! I have been curious about Sakura Taisen for years -- in part because of your obsession with it back in the day at the WDMB ^_^ -- but never got any of the games. With the English patch out for the first (?) one I might have to give it a try, in my copious free ti...

Re: Mega CD Lunar Eternal Blue (Not For Resale) Demo

I know we have a thread on this demo somewhere; I remember Shiva Indis pointing out how the character portraits have changed. I thought we had some info on the site too about it, but can't look right now.

Re: Japanese name/reference for Magic Tester?

I had just been wondering about that honor roll line. I don't remember all of them, but two (in the English game) are Meg and Lalabo. I don't remember the rest, but they were more typical names. Will have to look it up when I have time.
