Re: High Speed Internet Hits the Archaic Ages of Dial Up
I'm gonna have to assume you are an IT major? And isn't all of what you are talking about basically bandwidth? Was. International business and economics now. But I'm still a computer hobbyist. I was under the impression that the Internet was a series of tubes. What do you think fiber optic cable is?

Re: McCain selects running mate
Uungh. I think she's exceedingly unqualified, and could actually be Romney in drag. Or just the antichrist. She's not ready to lead. If McCain wins the election and happens to, god forbid, be killed or can't run the country anymore, Palin is not prepared to take the position. The Spycraft game I'm ...

Re: High Speed Internet Hits the Archaic Ages of Dial Up
Does this only include info that is downloaded from the internet, such as music and movies? Or does it include all bandwidth sent to your computer, such as looking at pictures or playing MMORPGs? If it includes the latter, then I am royally screwed, because if I am not at work or sleeping, I'm on t...

TSS and EB on the Wii
I considered posting this in another thread, but decided to make a new one instead because it'd have been kind of a tangent. It occurred to me a few months ago that there might be market interest in getting TSS and EB out on the Wii via the Virtual Console. That said, I don't know if the demand woul...

It's just one of thse things that comes with growing up... If you're not used to being self-reliant, you will learn. Try to be responsible, but don't forget to have fun now and then.

Re: Putin accuses US of orchestrating Georgia conflict
I doubt Putin's accusation is true. Putin has plenty of reasons to not like President Bush and has no real evidence to support his claim.
I agree with the possibility that this is just propoganda he's putting out there to legitimize Russia's aggressive behavior.

Re: Sequel or Prequel
Okay. At what time do you propose that Lucia came into existence, if you believe that to have been via human belief? Such incarnation would have to be either before or after they go to Lunar. At the time humans left and expressed desire to return. I'm not convinced that knowledge of a deity they ar...

I've had Screwdrivers before; first tried the drink in Israel, actually. Liked it in any case. Will check out the others.

Actually, these restrictions are sometimes a result of additional chipsets such as the northbridge . And G1, welcome to the world of OS X. Let us know how you like it. I considered saying 'motherboard' instead of the BIOS, but I wasn't thinking about the effect of the board's other hardware on memo...

What kind of liquor do you prefer? Might be easier to narrow down some good choices. :) I've decided I like vodka. I don't care for rum. Haven't tried a lot of things, though. I didn't do the whole 'drink on your 21st birthday' thing; I'm only now starting to be interested in trying drinks. (Am nea...

Re: Sequel or Prequel
The one reference in SSSC to Lucia's existence was a book that said that Althena left a girl behind on the Blue Star. Althena, not humans. When Zophar rose to power on the Blue Star, humans appealed to Althena, even though later Lucia was the caretaker of the Blue Star after Althena guided humans t...

Re: Sequel or Prequel
The manga also cuts Ghaleon out entirely. It's an interesting retelling of the story, but I wouldn't call it definitive. I've always thought of the manga as an abridgement of the game with subtle changes rather than a stand-alone telling of the story. Why? Because it does largely follow the game bu...

Re: Sequel or Prequel
I'm pretty sure that Zophar's existence doesn't come from the evil inclinations of humans; rather, he's an independent being comparable with Althena. The Lunar 2 manga seems to disagree with that opinion, instead favoring the idea that all three 'gods/goddesses' (Lucia, Zophar and Althena) are the ...

Re: Sequel or Prequel
Although I would prefer a sequel to a prequel, I do have one minor concern about making a sequel. Hiro, Lucia, and their companions defeated Zophar, the equivalent of Satan in the Lunar Universe. How could the sequel possibly top something like that? Well, for starters, Zophar cannot be permanently...

Mmm. Interesting thread.
I'd probably go with Vane, although I'd be interseted in Pao, Iluk and Meribia too. Horam might be interesting too, but I'm not so sure about that one. The daily adventures that come with living in Reza might be cool too.
