Re: Lunar Cosplay

Cool! Though, on a very hot day like this, just imagining wearing that makes me sweat in sympathy. XD Are you going to any cons with it? I understand. If I took pictures outside like this, I would end up in the hospital. I plan on wearing this at Wizard World Chicago 2011. Luckily, there is air con...

Re: Lunar Cosplay

Thanks. I guess what I'm trying to do is create a clean slate with my Lunar cosplays, since they've been less than perfect. Hopefully, I can start fresh with this.

Re: Lunar Cosplay

It's been two months and here is what I have of the helmet. I decided to seal the thing in fiberglass resin and prime it, then paint and seal. It was an 80-degree day so I saw it as a great opportunity. I had to wing it with the jewel part since I made it bulge out.

But anyway, here it is.

Re: Lunar Cosplay

It seems kind of lonely in this thread, so I thought I'd post a progress pic of my Dragon Master helm. It's completely blank right now, but when the warm weather gets here, that will no longer be a problem.

Re: Lunar Cosplay

Hi everyone. Long time no see. I had this thought recently and it regards the armor of DragonMaster Alex. If the armor were to be made for cosplay purposes, would it be possible to make it out of foam and vinyl (I REFUSE to use fiberglass for this one)? Just a thought for the future. And I already h...

Re: Lunar Cosplay

 Whoa! Rockin' Magic Emperor! That looks fantastic. It's been a while, but I've done some contemplation about Hiro and I want to try using Sateen fabric for his tunic (not the stretch kind). Since it doens't seem to be broadcloth, I think I'll go the sateen route (now to find it in the right ...

Re: Lunar Cosplay

Wow. It's been forever since I've been here. I just have an update to announce. I finally received the Ruby plushie for my cosplay. It arrived while I was away at Otakon. I'm getting excited for when I wear it with Hiro.

Re: Lunar Cosplay

Hm. Well, you definitely wouldn't want a loose weave, or that's what would happen. Twill might work, but it'd be kind of stiff, wouldn't it? You might be able to iron some interfacing to the underside of the hem and then cut at the edge to make it raggedy with the interfacing holding it together, t...

Re: Lunar Cosplay

REALLY nice, Miri. I'm actualy going to make a new Hiro tunic. I'm thinking about using Linen or Twill for it, but I'm just worried that if I make the bottom edges look raggedy, the fabric might fall apart with one pull of a fiber. One thing is for sure though: It will be a lot better than the first...

Re: Tatsunoko vs Capcom

You may have heard of Gatchaman by a number of different names in the US. G-force was one of the names that comes to mind off the top of my head, but not the most common name from what I recall. An internet search might pull it up. BTW, what Dark_Fairy said in response to this post is generally the...

Re: Tatsunoko vs Capcom

It's really fun. The gameplay and graphics are perfect for a fighting game. You get to pick two characters for every match you have. Overall, the game's addicting.

Tatsunoko vs Capcom

I bought this game a couple of months ago and it's very VERY enjoyable. Characters from series' such as Street Fighter, Megaman Legends, and Gatchaman are in it. I just wish that the roster was expanded a lot more. For those who have played this awesome fighting game, what are your opinions? Also, i...

Re: Lunar Cosplay

Alex_Pwns_Hiro- You should! More Alex cosplay would be love. Blue Dragon Ninja- Serious business for everyone! Thank you, we did have fun and that is indeed what counts! Sadly I don't believe any of us are going to Otakon. Sorry! We had an other little Lunar gathering at ACen this year, so I though...

Re: Lunar Cosplay

I just want to say that Lunar is far from dead and is actually quite more popular than most of the other 90s RPGs when it comes to fandom. This group at ACen was larger in size than Ohayocon if you could imagine it and we stopped to talk with dozens of fans throughout the weekend. Show the love, co...

Re: Street Fighter 4

All this talk about Street Fighter 4 makes me wonder if I should get a PS3 just to play it. It looks like a fun game, but then again, I like the classic PS and Arcade versions.

Re: Lunar Cosplay

Thanks, guys! Clear Note, you should post progress pictures so we can see. :D Will do. I was making the first Hiro costume and it had me thinking. I thought that maybe I should start over and use a thicker fabric that will hold up well and be more fitting to the character since he's an adventurer a...

Re: Lunar Cosplay

I agree. Fantastic all the way.

And I might actually start over on Hiro. I want to find a thicker fabric.
