Re: Grandia Creator Takeshi Miyaji Dead at 45
Tragic. Was he connected to Lunar at all, or more of a producer role?

An actual book edition would be nice.

Working Designs lives on: Alundra & Arc The Lad for PSN
Figure you all would like knowing about this: http://i56.tinypic.com/2ywu34x.jpg Victor Ireland's spearheading these releases himself, despite Working Designs' death. He's awesome. Quote's from the NeoGAF thread. Hard is the new black. Demon's Souls proved that. :) Seems like a great time for Alundr...

Re: Why do the remakes keep getting easier?
I've heard that even the remake of Persona is easier, but that may just be because certain bits of dialogue were translated properly this time. Persona PSP is much harder than the PS1 version. It's still not that difficult, especially since they updated the interface so you're not blindly arranging...

Re: Why do the remakes keep getting easier?
Not always. FFIV for the DS is vastly more difficult than the earlier versions, for one. And regarding TSS being the hardest, I'll cite the Vane Trial as the biggest example. In TSS, it's a four tier dungeon full of nasty monsters and tough bosses, and lots of winding paths. In SSSC, there are no mo...

Why do the remakes keep getting easier?
I hope I'm not the only one annoyed with this. While some developers add challenge and (difficult) content to their games, GameArts(or whoever they pawn Lunar off on) continue to make each Lunar remake easier. The Sega CD games: huge world maps, random battles, difficult boss fights, vast dungeons. ...

Is it sad that I want to play the remake JUST for Ghaleon's new VA? He sounds amazing.

Re: Impressions from the Demo
The new dragon cave is two screens wide. How is it that the SEGA CD version holds more content than a PSP remake more than a decade later? It's almost sad. And I despise the 'world map'. This is pretty much as Lunar For Dummies as Lunar gets. I have to admit, the battle sequences are gorgeous, and I...

Play the Shin Megami Tensei games. You can die in tutorial fights. It's just what you need.

Re: Impressions from the Demo
Very brief impressions: -Burg is even smaller. I bet by the next remake the spring will be a little pond in the corner of town. -Luna's VA doesn't suit her at all. The singing voice is good, though. -I love the music, fading out as awful. The graphics are nice, but I can't help feeling I'd rather ju...

Re: Updates on Voice Actors? (English)
Some of, if not all of, Working Designs games still hold up as being very playable today, especially Dragon Force and the Lunars, and a lot of that is thanks to their great scriptwriting, so I'll always have respect for Vic for that. He also had good taste in what games they decided to localize. Who...

Re: Updates on Voice Actors? (English)
I love Victor as much as the next WD fan(and that's a lot), but he is really being a hater here.
He's right about those DS and GBA localizations though.
Ech.

Re: Updates on Voice Actors? (English)
If I were Victor, I'd be glad to get rid of Lunar. Outside of the continued remakes, the series is continually going downhill.
It's arguably been on a downward spiral since they lost Studio Alex.

Re: Updates on Voice Actors? (English)
Victor can be pompous, but it's not like it's for bad reason. Working Designs were a genuinely awesome company, and brought us many awesome games that no one else would have. They always did a good localization, too. WD were consistent. Some companies could learn from that. I think it's pretty rude ...

Most of the VA is terrible.
Ghaleon's and Mia's are good. That's about it.
Jessica's is acceptable.

It would be really, really boring.Silver Phoenix wrote:Yes, it's the least you can do for my upcoming birthday.
A L:MS Let's Play would be a nice addition as no one has done a full playthrough (to my knowledge) on youtube.

Fear Effect 3: Inferno. Got canned by Eidos.
Might be for the best. Rumor has it this game might have gotten an AO.
