Re: A little audio clip
I normally don't try to play game disc in a cd player, though I did once for Lunar SSSC and it did have a hidden track which surprised me. >.> I always put game discs in CD players because you never know what you're gonna find. If you're lucky, you'll get an awesome redbook audio soundtrack (like i...

Re: Not going
I appreciate what you're saying JL, but I think this was for the best. If it had been the JET program I would have gone, 'cause they take care of you and pay about as much as I make now at my current job. This was just a little too much right now. I do have a question. I do want to go back to colle...

Re: NGP: In which I Grasp at Straws
So, have you been following the news? The successor to the PSP has officially been announced, and everyone is now calling it by its codename, NGP. Whee! GungHo Online Entertainment, Inc. is on the list of developers supporting the new system. And Gungho -> Game Arts -> Lunar! ....Okay, that's a str...

Re: I'm gonna have to do a review on a book now
I haven't had the time to write up a full review, but I liked it. The translation was slightly stilted -- using a lot of more advanced vocabulary than the average book, but I did like it a lot overall and can't wait to read the next one.

Sonic#, I would've disconnected with you too if I found you were a Star Wars fan. What about folks like me, who like both Star Wars and Star Trek? :) So then because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew you out of my mouth. Feh, I'm just a general science fiction fan and I like b...

Re: Really old school fandom
Old School Sega CD Lunar fan checking in! Sadly, I didn't have a computer with internet at the time, so I didn't know about this Lunar-L thing. :( I was a huge WDMB member though. Even tried to revive it for a while before it got hacked. Yeah, the WDMB was something that more or less took place dur...

Re: Really old school fandom
Um hello, Lunar-L charter member here. I still have my Lunar shirts that Renn made me from the Lunar Threads on Dave's Sega Saturn Page. I was around long before the remakes were even thought of and the original Eternal Blue was still fresh in our minds. I remember you! I wasn't sure if you were th...

Re: My first impressions
Well Arlia, you better get a PSP and a copy of the game. You can get the regular version or the premium edition super cheap now. ;) I have to admit as I've been an original Lunar fan since the dawn of time, or 1993, that I still haven't completed the PSP version. I've been cheating on Lunar with ot...

Re: FF XIII-2 Announced
The funny part is we're considering this to be a game as opposed to a 60+ hour movie where you push a button or two every so often. Almost like the movie pauses itself until you pick up your remote control and press the play button. You know, I've been hearing how a lot of folks in Japan who normal...

Re: FF XIII-2 Announced
You know, I'm starting to think that stuff like this is why I'm not quite as into gaming in some respects as I used to be -- at least with a lot of the newer RPGs. I definitely agree, but in the mix there are still some exceptions. Everything I've seen of Dragon Age and Mass Effect indicates that, ...

Re: Finally going to spend real time in Japan
"You’re nearly 30 years old! You have to make time in your day to play the games you do today! In English!" Bah, gaming doesn't end at 30! It just begins! Heh, amen to that. I'm nearly 35 and I'm still gaming (though less than I once did -- but then again, I find that the newer games aren...

Re: Finally going to spend real time in Japan
My favorite EFL story still has to be the friend of mine who went over there, ending up moving there permanently (despite being about as WASPy as you can be), and even married a (former at the time, but not when they started dating) Japanese schoolgirl...

Re: FF XIII-2 Announced
Where... where are those feathers coming from? A white dragon. Duh. Honestly, I don't get why people let this series polarize them so much. Clearly enough people like whatever game comes out to not make blanket statements about everything they produce since [arbitrary time point] bad. Not everyone ...
