Re: Are you a Lunar: The Silver Star virgin?

Liquid, you go back to playing the originals because they are simply better games. The remakes just never captured the imagination like the originals. What I liked about the remakes was just that they exposed a new generation to the games. I guess that is how I feel about the PSP remake. It is just ...

Re: Hey there!

I hear you. The price is pretty steep. But at least consider it one day if money becomes less of a barrier.

Anyway, enjoy the PSP version when you get it! :P

Re: Hey there!

Welcome! I just lost a long comment that I tried to post, but will try to rewrite some of what I had before in bullet form. In summary: -Try to start with Lunar The Silver Star on Sega CD. It is quite an investment of time/money to find/buy a Sega CD console and an original game, but it is well wort...

Re: Anyone have any new year resolutions?

phyco126,
Here is a little unsolicited advice for you...It is usually a better idea to try and get one higher paying job rather than two jobs. I would only go for the two jobs if there is no other choice. I have done it before and it is no way to live.

I think I had you in mind for another reason. Are you the one that has particularly strong feelings about the original Sega CD games being by far the best? If so, I could not agree with you more.

Re: Ugh Video Games..

Well, I was way off. I went back and looked at my posts and saw the it was Guild_Premier_Ghaleon who recommended the later Suikoden titles. Sorry about that.

Does Gamestop not receive any Limited Edition copies of the game even if you request one? I already put down $5 with them.

Battle of the RPGs

So I noticed that you guys have done some tournaments involving Lunar characters in the past (which I wish I had been a part of). My question is, have you ever considered doing a tournament or battle of the RPGs to crown Lunar-Net's favorite RPG (excluding Lunar)?

I'm not familiar with that story. I love Dahl's work in general: Matilda, The BFG, James and the Giant Peach, Esio Trot, The Witches. Somehow I missed Fantastic Mr. Fox.

Re: Ugh Video Games..

Oh, and by the way, Silver Phoenix highly recommended the later games in the series (at least he recommended Suikoden 3 if I remember correctly). Anyway, I may be giving it a try if I ever get some free time.

Re: Ugh Video Games..

I have not had time to play a video game since July. I had the bright idea to attend graduate school while working full time and balancing a property and a marriage. NOT EASY lol. I'll tell you what I would do if I had the free time. I would replay Suikoden 1 and 2. I never played the games later in...

Re: That Christmas topic

I hear what many of you are saying. This can be a bit of a depressing time of year as well with shorter days, and perhaps even memories of those who have passed. But overall, it is still a beautiful and special time of year. Just be thankful for what you have. In case I don't comment on the boards f...

Xenogears: Great game or mediocre at best?

I have noticed that when people are polled on their favorite RPGs of all time, Xenogears is a title that is often placed near the top of the list. I guess I never understood why. I played Xenogears from beginning to end, and although it was a good game that provided some much needed distraction at t...

Re: That Christmas topic

This is my favorite time of the year. I know that sometimes life does not work out the way we had hoped. But this is the time of year to be thankful for what we do have. Remember, all you really need is the ground under your feet, and the air to breath. Every day above ground is a good day. In these...
