Re: Preserving Lunar

That sucks about the poster, but more importantly I hope your sister was ok. Now more than ever companies are realizing that there is money to be made by releasing old classics for modern systems in the form of virtual console and similar services. As a kid I never would have dreamed that I would ha...

Re: NGP: In which I Grasp at Straws

This article also said that the cards will also have room for DLC, which I kind of like, but that also means that they are limited to how much DLC there is from the start. If something turns out to be really successful and there's a lot of DLC, or if there's something like an FPS with fan-made maps...

Re: FF XIII-2 Announced

http://psp.ign.com/articles/114/1145091p1.html There's actually another Dissidia on the way, and I have nothing against that, but in the SNES and PSX days there would be one Final Fantasy every few years. They were really great back then, and every release was something special. Now they're coming ...

FF XIII-2 Announced

Maybe they'll just skip the whole "game" aspect of it and release a boxed set of dvd cinematics.

Aside from the cover do any Kindle books have images? I wonder why they were removed.

Re: Lunar Silver Star Novel now in English! Officially!

At the end it says in the translation notes that the others are "soon to follow." I'm not sure how soon "soon" is, but I am glad the others are on their way. It's also really nice to see them recognize this market and translate these. There's definitely a demand for them and seei...

Free PSP Games!

For anyone that owns a PSP Go: check your email because we all got the same deal in the US that Europe had last year for 3 free games: Little Big Planet, Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters, and Socom: Fireteam Bravo 3. I bought mine a year ago, so I'm not sure how far back this deal goes, but it might ...

Re: Working Designs lives on: Alundra & Arc The Lad for PSN

Arc II just came out in the US PSN store, and as an added surprise so did Arc Arena. You can also purchase them both in a bundle for $8.99.

Arc Arena lets you fight the enemies you've captured/tamed against each other and is a pretty decent side game. Plus it only takes up 75MB which is nice.

Re: Working Designs lives on: Alundra & Arc The Lad for PSN

I haven't played Arc the Lad games, but the second is said to be vastly superior to the first in every way. The second one is really good, and one of the things I was really impressed with was they way they solved the game duration problem. The first one was great, but only about 6-10 hours until t...

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow

Has anyone played this yet? It seems like in reviews people absolutely love it, or can't stand it. Personally I like it, but not as a Castlevania game. There's a lot of mountain climbing like Prince of Persia or Tomb Raider where you're shimmying across ledges, using the whip to grapple and swing, a...

Sweeet! I hope they do work in the continue from a previous save feature somehow. Arc II was really fun.

That's a glorious collection! The condition of those NES boxes are amazing considering their age. Do you play the games, or just display them?

Re: Working Designs lives on: Alundra & Arc The Lad for PSN

They're both in the US PSN store now. The Arc The Lad Collection let you use memory card data for bonus content in each sequel which was kind of a nice incentive to play the trilogy in order. If Arc II and III are released on PSN I'm not sure that continuation feature is possible without some kind o...

That they are. The last several releases have all been Dungeons and Dragons games too. I have nothing against them, but I liked the variety of the releases. Ah well, at least it did turn out to be a bluff.

Gog.com is down and either they are done completely, or just coming out of beta. Either way they said that Thursday all purchases would be available to download again. In the event that they are closing down their site, it may be a good idea to download and backup anything you've purchased through t...

Re: I have Boarderlands now.

My friends got me hooked on Borderlands 2 weeks ago. The flow typically goes something like: you get a task to complete, you successfully carry out the mission to accomplish said task, endorphins are released and you're given a new task to repeat the cycle. Crack cocaine in a similar way, but luckil...

Re: Final Fantasy IX is one of the best games I've ever played

I really like playing the PSX era FF games on psp because it's super convenient to play on a train on the way home from work, then connect to a tv when I get home. I bought FF IX a few weeks ago, but and I've been meaning to get back into it since I haven't played it since college, but Grandia, Luna...

Re: Lufia: Curse of the Sinistrals (DS)

The problem is that Square Enix has bought the rights to Lufia 2. They remade this game and completely ruined it. The characters are all young looking little punks now(Nomura did the art style so it looks like Kingdom Hearts), personalities have been completely changed, and the battle system is no ...
