Re: Jessica: strong female character or missed opportunity?

I understand what you're saying, but I understand what I sound like. That's why I've talked so much- this may be the only glimpse into gender roles as I see them that this group ever receives. My view is so unexpressed that I don't even have a proper vocabulary to talk about it with. I'm sorry; ther...

Re: Jessica: strong female character or missed opportunity?

Admittedly, nowhere is it implied that it's Mia's "fault" that Vane wasn't back up the next day, but, honestly, I was really, really surprised when I played Lunar 2 for the first time, only to discover that it had apparently never returned to it's former glory. That's a very sad thing, bec...

Re: Jessica: strong female character or missed opportunity?

To me, it gives the impression that Mia is worthless without a "strong man" to complete her and stand by her side. Well, no, that's not what I said at all. The points I have made elude to male and female complimentarity within Lunar, not a patriarchy by today's standards. The fact that th...

Re: Jessica: strong female character or missed opportunity?

"Alpha" and "beta" are agreeably hard to define, because they're mostly used in internet lingo. I've known them to mean a few different things, but, mostly viewed as personality attributes that scream very loudly about a particular person, so much that they can't possibly be miss...

Re: Jessica: strong female character or missed opportunity?

The point I was demonstrating was not entirely that males need to keep women in line- only bratty girls in specific. This is a very common dynamic displayed in (older) games, because, as we see, they bounce off of each other so well, and often produce hilarity. Kyle needs Jessica just as much, becau...

Re: Jessica: strong female character or missed opportunity?

Seeing as we're talking about gender dynamics... The gender depictions weren't "dated", they were "normal." I find it rather distressing that people have a problem with their clothes, especially considering the bromide and bath scenes that were added to the game. Nice girls that ...

I just feel bad because he asked ten days before I was able to respond. >_<

If he usually travels around now, I have confidence he'll see it when he has time, but thanks for the offer.

I didn't forget, but I sent Kizyr a message a few days ago, he hasn't responded. If anyone else has another contact method, they might tell him he has a message.

Re: Megadrive Fan Mag with Nall on Cover

I'm so sorry, Kizyr, I know you must have been hard at work. My internet was actually disconnected on a fundamental level by mistake from our provider, and today, after almost a month, we got it back. I'll get the magazine out and try to get it scanned by tonight. I'm sorry I missed them. Thanks so ...

Re: Lunar 3...A prologue

"Your grace?" What is this, Game of Thrones? =p

Seriously, though, it's cool that people still have desire for a Lunar 3. Mostly, I think people are resigned to the intense likelihood of it never happening, but still.

Re: From now on, I hate Apple. And digital gaming in general

Well, being obese is, medically, not a good thing. It's... kind of impossible to be "morbidly obese" and be healthy. Skinny doesn't equal healthy, of course not. Someone suffering from, say, anorexia could appear only a little skinnier than average, but if you startle them, they could fall...

Re: From now on, I hate Apple. And digital gaming in general

(And chubbiness has damn little to do with exercise. Really. The sooner we stop defining a narrow range of natural body type as acceptable and everyone outside of it as unacceptable the better.) I said "chubby" to be polite. I was referring to the morbidly obese children that need to get ...

Re: From now on, I hate Apple. And digital gaming in general

Phones are for speaking on, not gaming. It surprises me you'd even bother to complain about not being able to play games comfortably on your phone. There's no controller, on a a miserably tiny screen. Why would they even bother making it perfect? Yeah, I get it; instant entertainment. But a simple p...

I liked the instruments, but I'm sorry to say that such a deep and grandiose voice doesn't suit the song for me... It sounds like you could make an awesome Christmas carol album, though!

Re: Potential Uncensored Graphics hack?

Yes, a patch is perfect. I... forgot completely that people did that, actually, it's been a long time since I've dabbled in such things.

I wish you the best of luck! It would probably take a lot of hard work and dedication.

Re: Potential Uncensored Graphics hack?

If you successfully completed the hack, would you be putting it on a disc, or...? I'd love to play it, and, while I do enjoy vintage charm, the all-caps always bothered me. Someone recently did this with Earthbound. I think it makes a game feel more complete. They made an SNES cart out of it, I beli...

Well, hello again! Do tell me when the keychains arrive, would you?

Oh, and please post pictures of your Lucia kit when it's finished (if you're inclined.) I've always wanted to see one done, besides the stock photo.

Re: The Trans-Pacific Partnership Treaty

Thank you, Kizyr. One thing I realized while I was reading that was, with politics, all the best arguing goes on by professionals, and I somehow got it into my head that when you're discussing anything about it, in the realm of politics only , little more is needed than, "This is the side I'm o...

Re: The Trans-Pacific Partnership Treaty

Well, I was really done with all this, but since you seem to want a reply, the reason I brought up Obama is because the TPP was his idea, or so I read. So, me saying what I don't like about the person who thought it up makes conversational sense. It wasn't meant to spark a debate, it was "Yeah,...
