Re: Poor Sales in Japan?

That's probably due in large part to a lot of recent JRPGs being terrible, cookie-cutter, generic messes. Hell, even FF13 turned into a super-linear interactive movie. You just touched on something I've been thinking about since the PS2 days. A lot of RPGs are becoming movies with linear walking an...

Re: Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday to you both! I indulged in drink quite a bit years ago. My life has calmed down significantly and I often look back and wonder how I survived. I think a lot of people lie about not remembering what happens the next day. Personally I can count how many times I have been drunk on one ha...

Re: I'm in college now.

I remember the hardest part of college was striking a balance between studying and socializing/partying. I did a bit too much of the latter my first year. I guess it would have been easier to find the balance had I gone to a school that didn't have dorms.

Re: Quark's random & unsolicited advice to his Lunar-Net peeps

I've actually got a better way to do this, but if someone wants help with it, I'll let them PM me. A better way to do it that doesn't involve paying for a service to monitor your credit for you? Anyway, the best protection is always prevention. There are many rules to follow that minimize your risk...

Re: Anyone have any new year resolutions?

How is everyone else doing? Are you all sticking to your resolutions? When it comes to resolutions, I think it is important not to feel defeated if you slip up at some point. You just have to learn from the failure and try again incorporating what you have learned about yourself. Good luck to you a...

Re: Happy New Year from Kei Shigema

I think I'd prefer a major step forward instead of two steps back after all of these years. If there is a prequel it cannot be considered Lunar 3, and it just delays the future of Lunar even further. I agree 100 percent. Many years ago I would have asked for both, but now I know not to get my hopes...

Re: Quark's random & unsolicited advice to his Lunar-Net peeps

By the way, I will post an update in a couple of days with the phone numbers for the agencies that I have mentioned. Feel free to ask me any questions you may have and I will try to answer them to the best of my abilities. Also, if any of you find these sort of topics interesting, I can try to post ...

Quark's random & unsolicited advice to his Lunar-Net peeps

Hello all, I posted the following information on another thread a while ago. Since the information is probably more appropriate in a separate thread, I am providing it again. This is helpful information to have to protect yourselves from scams and identity theft. I also provide some steps to take if...

Re: Anyone have any new year resolutions?

Thanks for the words of encouragement everyone! I truly appreciate it. I have now been smoke-free for 20 days. I am chewing less of the nicotine gum now. Overall, I would say that my cravings have gotten less frequent, but more intense for some reason. I will be fine, but maybe two or three times a ...

I agree, the lack of marketing for this title confuses me. It's like they don't even want to make sales.

Re: Spreading the word of Lunar!

Aside from Lunar-net and people that I introduced Lunar to, I have only met one person in my life who had played the game before I told them about it. But I guess that is the case with most RPGs. With the exception of the Final Fantasy series, RPGs are not for everyone. They tend to attract people w...

Re: Happy New Year from Kei Shigema

I don't think Shigema acknowledges Lunar DS. He wrote a few months ago that the last Lunar game he worked on before Harmony was the PS version of the Lunar 2 remake. On the other hand, he said that working on Harmony has gotten him interested in making a Four Heroes prequel. That'd be weird, becaus...

Re: Anyone have any new year resolutions?

As an update, I just wanted to say that I decided to pursue my New Years Resolution a bit early. As of today, I have officially been smoke-free for eight days. I think this time is it for me. I have tried quitting in the past, but have always lost my mind when I attempted it. For some reason, I am h...
