Re: What Are You Currently Playing?

I've recently been getting into Payday 2. Our stream is currently chugging along with whatever I can think of to play on Monday, Paper Mario Wednesday and now Final Fantasy 8 on Friday. It's good times, and great to be playing so many games that I never played before I have played before.

Re: Life is Strange

Thankfully I got my dates mixed up it seems with the update. So hooray. With that said and without giving anything away I have to say this is one of those games where I deeply care for the characters. This latest episode cemented the fact that I cared. We make a lot of jokes on our stream about the ...

Outside of finding it in a specialty store or online, you can try to get an emulator from somewhere with the roms and play them via your PC.

Re: Metroid Game Already Has Petition Against It

Sometimes a game needs to evolve. Sometimes a game needs to explore new territory, rather than sticking to the same thing. Were it not for this branching off, we wouldn't have Super Mario 64, Symphony of the Night, Ocarina of Time/Majora's Mask. My point being, yeah, there's a lot of missteps, but a...

Re: Are Lunar 1 and 2 (PS1) actually difficult RPGs?

These games came out in an age where the JRPG was king. The thing about the JRPG was there was a lot of grinding involved. I mean, tons and tons of it. Stuck in an area? Start grinding son. Can't beat a boss? Why weren't you grinding? The amount of time needed to spend on these games was almost insa...

Hate to say it, but I'm not sure Lunar has the fanbase for a third one to come out.

Re: Last Anime?

So I've recently been taking to getting back into anime. I watched one called Oreimo which was about a brother and sister and the sister is way into little sister games and anime. It was amusing, but soon the novelty wears off and I found the characters to be extraordinarily annoying save the brothe...

Re: What Are You Currently Playing?

FF6 is the best Final Fantasy. My favorite is 4 but 6 is definitely better. I'd place 9 as my third favorite. The thing is...Lunar has soul. Final Fantasy just never captured that sort of magic. I can't explain it. If I didn't love Lunar, I wouldn't be here. But FF6 spoke to me as a kid in ways Lun...

Re: What Are You Currently Playing?

I started replaying the "Suikoden" series a couple of years ago... I'm just now getting to the third game. When I talk to older gamers about their favorite RPGs (Those who started in NES or SNES era), I often see it coming down between Lunar 1 and Suikoden 2 as their favorite one overall....

Hey guys, it's me again. This time, without shameless self promotion, but a cause. Tomorrow we're going to be streaming for a charity called 8-Bit Salute. Their cause is to raise money to send video games to troops overseas who don't have the access to them. They also wish to send them to overseas h...

Re: Pure Unadulterated Shameless Advertising

They are not at all the same game. The arcade version of X-Men is an excellent beat-em-up in the vein of Streets of Rage or Golden Axe. The Genesis version is more of a platformer where you fight people. Both would be great, but I have a special fondness for the Genesis version - it was one of my f...
