You have never played lunar? Even though you've lingered in its shadows for ten years? Kinda odd lol. it is sort of odd. but it happened because once upon a time, this was a roleplaying board on AOL. i was invited over by someone who frequented both ACO and the phantasy star discussion boar...

you know. i've been on iterations of LunarNet/ACO on and off for the past ten years. ten YEARS. and i still have never played Lunar. i don't think i've even ever seen an actual lunar game. but i completely understand the nostalgic adoration. my first RPG was Phantasy Star 4. i don't think swag for i...

rpgman . . . i asked how old you were, and you said "16." obviously, i got something right. you have it rough right now. but everyone gets that. my dad's a drunk too. i've had friends betray and ditch me too. i've been achingly depressed and broken hearted, and in love with the wrong peopl...

BG's comments are relevant. homosexuality comes down to basic physical and emotional lusts, just like heterosexuality. he's just being quite blunt about it--and practical. let's disregard homosexuality for a moment. there's a reason that abstinence-only sex ed doesn't work. when people want somethin...

Hitler must have done some good thing with his life. Same with Osama. And Mussolini. And whoever else falls into the evil category. So by your admission, we shouldn't look at the evil these people did, rather the good? oh, for the love of <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Godwin's_Law"...

. . . how old are you, RPGMan? i keep rereading your post, and it reminds me of myself ten years ago, when i believed everything my parents and their pastors told me. you have very black and white beliefs. remember something else the bible says--"do not judge." you have never been in the s...

sure you do, JWL. paris hilton, lindsay lohan, george bush--and people still make fun of al gore for that invented-the-internet crack. the thing is, these sorts of statements STAY. and apologizing for them is usually forgotten, if it's heard at all. any man or woman who has as public a forum as he d...

i don't care. and i'm not going to join in the eulogizing. yes, the man spoke his mind. and misspoke and respoke and took lots of words back, tripped over others, etc etc. there's nothing particularly noble about speaking your mind. it doesn't take as much courage as people think it does. on the con...

i hate false awakenings. i don;t have them often, but when i do, it usually precedes some really awful happening--a fight with a parent or something--and i wake up horribly upset and it takes me awhile to realize i was only dreaming.

i do it on occasion, but i avoid doing it on purpose. i tend to wreck the dreams i try to control. example: my first time, i was exploring an old abandoned house (for some reason, a lot of my dreams put me vast mysterious houses) when i suddenly realized "hey! i'm dreaming!" which was imme...

When I said that the real wasn't always entertaining, I mean that they would have to filter the experience. Would you feel pain if you lose? Would you burn when burned, get frostbite when cooled, go deaf when the dragon roars and fall unconscious due to the miasma in a particular area? That's not f...
