Is there really a 'red locked chest' behind the goddess status in Vane?

A strategy guide said it was there, but even with a turbo controller, I find nothing.

There's a red chest in front of the statue actually. It kind of blends in with the house though, so it's hard to notice. I don't remember what's inside.
