I was looking at the Hero Maze and I was wondering what you guys think it is. It seems like a tomb to Alex. In the very end you get to find his Ocarina. I wonder if Alex was buried with Luna...

I think it's an optional, super-simply programmed bonus dungeon added to the PlayStation port to give Japanese players a reason to buy it even if they already had the Saturn version of the game.
