Lunarthreads, dying?

Post by Blue_Goddess »

I joined last 2005, and ever since, I've been an on-off member. While I do know that I have no right to say that this thread is dying, but based on my observation, I see a lot of "Last Post on 2010, or 2009, 2011". what can you say about it?

Let's keep the threads alive :)

I think we've gone a lot more dormant over the past few years, but there's a big difference between a dormant forum (where people visit occasionally and are compelled to post) and a dead one (where no one visits or posts). And I know that the dormancy is due largely to posters simply being more busy than in the past.

Perhaps it's because we put Oprah in charge of our reward division.

This isn't necessarily true for me. However, I don't go as far back as some of the members here (although I lurked for a verrrrry long time before I registered).

I would say that it isn't dead or dying, the entire Lunar franchise has just been fairly quiet. When that happens, sometimes these boards get quieter. Just look at our news, the last thing to come out in months was a Lunar SS(S/C?) port to the iOS. There's not much lately to be conversational about when it comes to Lunar.

That's not to say that we've lost hope. There's always hope ;)

I've barely had time to check any forums or read stuff, so it's definitely the busy-ness factor for me. Between work, school, wedding planning, etc., I don't have much time free. It should start clearing up early next year though. KF

I stroll in from time to time. : ) Though I agree it was more lively back in the day.
But Lunar was kind of in back then too when it came to JRPG's.

ahmg! Kiz, I don't know how much more I can take... Super Mario 3D Land last Sunday, Skyward Sword tomorrow, SWTOR beta next weekend, Mario Kart 7 early next month, early start/regular release of SWTOR later next month. Too much good all crammed into a couple of months! Now possibly being able to play the only Lunar that I missed (despite the fact that I actually had a game gear back in the day)!

FFFFFFFFFFFFFF... If you have a link please post/send!

The Game Gear version ("Lunar: Walking School" = GG, "Magical School Lunar" = Saturn, to avoid any ambiguity) already has a translated ROM available that was completed... earlier this year I think? KF

I've been trying to check in everyday. : ) Though I think it would pick up if more Lunar Games were coming out (remake wise)
Though I do agree with Lishy. We need more people to actually reply to the posts. : /

I'm a lurker, too. I came back when SSH was announced but lost interested in the game around the puffy bug part. I heard there was a glitch and never attempted to get through it. I also don't care for the style of SSH, either. I think it looks bad, really. Maybe I'm still sore about no Lunar 2...

I hate the fluffy bug part in all the remakes. XD I did make my way through the game thought fright when it came out in the U.S. I always check the main site every couple of months though just in case there's something new in the world of Lunar. : )

I would be happy with some Lunar SSSC and EBC on the PSN. Holy acronyms!
