That's how it is with their podcasts usually, the topic is about half the cast, then the rest is just whatever.
*listening*
EDIT: Next time they do a podcast like this, they should really bring in people who, erm, remember the games.
I'm surprised that Toasty didn't have his stuff together. Former WDMBer that one.

Regrettably underresearched and lacking in expertise this time around. Usually they're quite good and will often get a superfan of some kind or another (legendary Brandon Sheffield of Insert Credit for the PC Engine ep, for instance). While Parish always liked the games since way back in the ToastyFrog2D site days, he's not too sharp here, nor is anyone else. If only G1 had been invited...or Ireland, for that matter!

...Or people on YouTube who claim to be huge fans of the series and don't know Shining the Holy Ark about the games. Then they try to inform other people about the series and bastardize every aspect of it.

Meh. I usually find it hard to just sit there and listen to a podcast but I tried with this one. Nothing special.... I always feel the need to correct them on Lunar (or a few other game series) when they start spouting off incorrect info. as the truth. One small annoyance that still gets me to this day is the whole SSSC was on the Sega CD (or, better yet, it gets combined as The Silver Star Story). Dammit, it's TSS!! lol

A number of details about Game Arts and Gung Ho were off, too.

There's a lot of people who think EBC came BEFORE SSSC , or that the series began on the PlayStation. These people suffer from FF7-itis (People who think the series began with that game).

If it's any vindication, Parish made a reference on his personal site about how terrible the podcast was today...all the same, a waste, given the knowledgeable people he usually collects for that excellent little radio show.

I thought the RPGamer RPG Backtrack podcast about Lunar was done better. http://www.rpgamer.com/backtrack/backtrack_archive.htmlIt's number 9: "Take Heed" Definitely. I've listened tot his RPG Backtrack cast several times and it's great. The Retronauts podcast on Lunar was surprisingly bad.
