Recent "Lunar Sightings"

Post by PrettyGirlJean »

Hi all,

I recently beat a game for NinDS called "Elite Beat Agents" and Melissa Gulden (VA for Jessica and Mail from Popful Mail) sang the "Material Girl" cover in the game. It was really strange that I recognized her voice even though she was singing, but sure enough her name showed up in the credits!

Also, during a few customer service calls at work, I wound up speaking to a Rep whose name was Jian, even spelled that way too!

Lastly, there was an office associated with my job located in "Nashua, NH" of course everytime I heard or saw it I thought of Nash :p That's not really too related I guess, but thought I'd mention it nonetheless :D

Anyone have similar sighting lately?

I know there's an asian restaurant in Miami called "Hiro's," so I guess that counts. I wish I'd had my digital camera on me at the time (I usually do), because I definately would have posted a picture of it on here.

I know a few people named Alex, and someone on tv that was a real person was named Luna. I also know Kyles and Jessicas. 0_o
My birthstone is ruby.
I have green eyes...>_>
(With all respect)In the book of Job there's a man named Zophar, but that's really where Lunar probably got the name, not vice versa.

Athena is a deity in Greek mythology.
Lucia means "Bringer of Light"; it's very popular for games and anime
Luna means "lunar"; or "the moon" likewise ^
There's a bad-guy in Arcana (SNES) named 'Galneon'.

*Names with the long "ee" sound are mostly made up, and are horrendously popular with games/anime. (ie; Lemina, Mia, Miria, Lemia)
(Other names from games, if you were wondering: Lina, Leena, Fia, Seena, Tifa, Leene, Leen, Feena...)

My blankets have extensive patterns on them

Not too hard to come by, but mildly interesting, I guess.
Pickle? I thought you said baseball card!

There was a diner downtown called The Silver Star but there was a fire and it closed. It was in a crappy downtown area to begin with. It's reopening as something else now.

Not exactly a sighting, but a hearing.

I went to a Chinese Resturaunt about 30 minutes away from me about a year and a half ago.

It was an expensive, high-end place I normally couldn't afford to eat at. (I try to save up to eat there once a month now ;))
But, I won a cupon to eat there so... Anyway, while I was eating there they play soft music in the background. While I was eating my meal I found myself humming along to the song... I know this song from somewhere.

So, I focused in on it...
Sure enough, they were playing Lucia's Theme.
This is the place, delicious food.

Um... the moon is out tonight?? xD
And the amazing violinist at the Josh Groban concert last night... her name was Lucia Micarelli.

lol, other than that, I wish I had something cool to share, but I don't. However, I did pass a place yesterday called the "Genova Factory" and it was written in big fancy letters on the side of the building, "Genova"

I thought it was funny. xD
Feel free to throw bricks at me for being horribly off topic.

OH OH OH! I was doing a search on Lunar Cycles and came across this website about the games. I never saw it before, and it had some pretty decent info. The site was http://www.lunar-net.com. TRUE STORY!

There's a street in Kansas City called Nall Avenue. I got nothing past that.

I always dreamed of making live action movies of the Lunar series. With the digital effects ever expanding it would be phenomenal. The story would be movie magic.

I guess the best you could really hope for in the case of movies is a fan-based 3D project. I've seen some impressive fan titles in my time.

In other news, I always feel an odd connection with people I see wearing Lucia's pendant around town.

Wearing the pendant, bah. Leaves too many chances to lose it, or damage it in some way. My pendant is still in the original packing.

I'm surprised you guys have even seen people wearing the pendant. I've never seen someone with it on.

And I'm with you phyco. I never wear mine. I don't like jewelry to begin with though. Necklaces, rings, whatever. Not even watches. I can use my cellphone for time. I have it on display on my Lunar merchandise bookshelf.

I don't mind jewlry, but the Lucia pendant is way to important to just use casually. Though I have to say I'm with G1, I've almost never seen anyone wear one, aside from photos of cosplayers. Though memory seems to serve that I did see at least one person with it, but I can't confirm it as it's a bit fuzy.

My lunar stuff are in zip lock bags in a plastic draw. The only thing missing is the game disks, and L:L America, L: DS, and my Nall Plushie.

If I ever become a millionare (which I doubt will ever happen, but you never know,) I plan on buying as much merchandise and Lunar related items as possible, then creating a Lunar Museum. It will be an all white room, with all the items in thick climate controlled bullet proof display cases with an advanced fire extinguesh system.
