My gf is an excellent baker... she loves to decorate cakes. I should get her to make one... maybe you guys (and lurkers) could post some ideas? XD

f0n, I totally agree. I love the original EB cover... I could probably manage to paint it on the cake if I had the colors... XD

We've got an Easter cake planned (based around one of my characters-- see my art thread) so maybe we'll make this Lunar cake for Summer. =) I think we still have pics of our Illusion of Gaia cake. Hamlet was cute!

Bakery's have screening machines to lay images on the top of a cake, so it would be easy to use an image file and have that sprayed out onto a cake. Of course not every bakery has one, but it seems to be pretty standard these days.

Also, whipped cream icing is so much better than regular sugar death icing.

Yeah, but whats the fun of going to buy one? XD Decorating it yourself adds so much more to the cake. My gf likes buttercream icing, IIRC. I know she had a trick for the fondant too, but I dont really pay attention as long as it tastes fine lmao. Oh, and If you add pudding mix to either cake mix or your scratch cake its extra soft, too.

Oh I'm a fan of cool whip icing w/ fruit on top. Sooooooooo good
