Wasn't official until now, even if the date had been floating about for a while.

What were you counting down to on the front page?

The GameStop/everyone else's date. I wanted to get something up to promote, even if the date wasn't official yet. I was adamant that wasn't official, nor any of the other dates everyone kept throwing out since September. Everyone still moaned that the game was delayed every time GameStop changed their date, regardless of what I said here or at GameFAQs, so I gave up and just put the damn thing up.

We've actually been saying "Spring 2010" since the beginning as our estimate.

For once my prediction was right! This almost makes up for all the times G1 has been right regarding football predictions. KF

It also falls in line with XSEED's Quarter 1 2010 report. As I've said before, it's a fantastic turnaround to see a localization from such a small company in less than three months from the Japanese release.

You might as well say four, considering Brazil is gonna beat the Argies in the final this summer. :P

Yeah, I've been impressed with XSEED's promotion of the game personally. With UbiSoft, other than a few magazine ads, they literally asked us to do their website, and we promoted the game pretty much on our own. I know my own life has kept me from doing nearly as much with this site for SSH as I'd like, but it's great to see the publisher themselves do a wonderful job promoting it without just waiting on fans to try their hand.

And hey, less than three weeks and we'll have it in our hands now.

The internet is also a blessing and a curse in the way something gets promoted. For a small company with a limited budget it's good to get any kind of representation possible, and having a Facebook page and even doing a video segment on GameSpot gives them a marketing presence. The demo on PSN also helps generate interest.

Modern technology and trends has certainly helped these smaller companies generate interest in their products.
