That's like me with music. I just have a vast collection of music. I listen to it all day...I play it. I'm in a band. I just can't get enough of it.

It actually did cross my mind. I'm thinking of revving some of the songs up and making them heavy

then throwing some face melting solos on. How awesome would that be? :D

I'm picky with music too. Trust me.....
I don't like only one style, but I'm very accustomed to Metal. Not METALCORE.
Just to clear that up. A lot of people think if something has heavy guitars then it's metal...haha. Bands like Slipknot = Not Metal. It's just really revved up Rock..which isn't the same thing as Metal. Metal is very classical derived. It's a music theory thing, and I probably shouldn't rant about it here..so I'll leave it at that. But yeah.

My family moved to Fountain (roughly 10/15 minutes south of Downtown Colorado Springs) in the summer of 1996 and moved the Colorado Springs late 2003. Colorado Springs is fairly close to Pike's Peak, just a quick 20 minute or so drive from down town puts you at the entrance to the summit road. Boulder is fairly far north from Colorado Springs, over an hour drive if I recall correctly. And considering one spot in Colorado Springs can get a couple of feet of snow and another spot just a couple of miles away gets non, it wouldn't surprise me if we got a lot of snow on several occasions and you got none. However, the blizzard of 1997 hit more than just the Spring's and Fountain, as I remember the 3 day snow storm killed around 16/18 people.

Now as for Bark Bettles... never heard of them.

And when did Nova Scotia get hit by a hurricane? I don't recall any hurricanes hitting that far up north (but I don't really pay much attention to the hurricane season anyway.)
Yeah, that's true, the weather got pretty wonky. I certainly wouldn't be surprised if Colorado Springs got entirely different weather than us.

Bark Beetles kill trees, pretty much. :/

Nova Scotia got hit by Hurricane Juan in 2003. Juan came on shore at Prospect, and bowled right on through Halifax (the capital) and then through the province and on to P.E.I. It was a classified as a Category 2 on the SS scale, but the damage seen here was more typical of a Category 3 storm.
Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hurricane_Juan

It was quite a bad storm, actually. The morning after, all our windows were blasted with shreds of leaves, stuck on so thick you couldn't see out them. Portions of the forest in N.S. were just blown flat, and since many streets here are lined with trees, that didn't bode well. In all honesty, we were lucky only 8 people died, considering the flooded roads, falling trees, and high wind. I remember hearing about one person's home collapsing, with them out for the night. Now that's luck!
Actually, there's a tree that we tied to another because we were afraid it would fall on the house. We woke up the next morning to find out that yes, it had fallen, and luckily the rope had altered its trajectory - had it fallen straight it would have hit my parent's bedroom.

Anyway, here's some pictures of the storm - they're from CBC:

This is pretty much what most of Halifax's street's looked like. The city was shut down for a day, and power wasn't fully up in NS for two weeks.
