Anyone who Celes can kill in one turn (okay, okay, not true; Terra had to hit him once, too) should not be counted as a "winner." More accurately, though, not only did he get put down by violence but it occurred within the first year of his so-called "win." Winning should at least mean that the world stays the way you want it to be (in Kefka's case, "TOTALLY UNDER MY BWA HA HA HA HEE HEE HEE CONTROLLING WHIMS!") until you die of old age, or, if you happen to be an immortal deity/Evil Magic Lord/undead horror/powerful wizard/Dark Dragon/something that can only be sealed but never killed/etc., then until the present generation of enemies dies of old age and the Forces of Good have to come up with an All-New Secret Plan to defeat you just the way you did to them in the first place.

I mean, heck, Zophar remade the world in his image. The seas boiled away, the skies were covered in creepy purple clouds, magic went away, and a funky Domain was installed as the new tourist hot spot. It just lasted...maybe a week, tops.

No, a mere temporary achievement cannot be counted as a "win," without long-lasting success. For example, typing a way-too-darn-serious post in a comedy thread does not constitute me altering the world in my own image, blast it.

Neutral fools. You should know that no matter which side prevails, those that stood on the side will only face humiliation and become outcasts. There's a war, and you need to choose a side. I'd think it'd be wise to dwell on which side you want. Numbers may be fleetin', but we can handle ourselves against my Bacon-Bits.

In Dante's Inferno, there were a group of angels who didn't chose either side when God fought Satan. Well, God wasn't about to let the fencesitters sit in heaven, but neither would Satan allow them into hell. So they wander around outside Hell for all eternity, neither allowed within nor allowed peace with out, for there are stinging insects that put them in perpetual motion, of always changing directions. In such ways are justice meeted out.
