Heath Ledger has passed away.

Post by ilovemyguitar »

I can't even wrap my brain around it. Some of the news reports are alluding to it having possibly been a suicide, which makes makes my head spin even more.

New York Times article right here.

Such a horrible tragedy.

I was shocked out of my mind. Here I was all hyped for The Dark Knight when that bit of news came in.

Apparently (according to Wiki), all of his shooting was done for the new Batman movie, so fans will still have that performance to look forward too . I imagine it will be bittersweet though.

Wow, that is insane. I was in the middle of the article you provided when my sister ran in saying "OMG Keith Ledger is dead!!!!" Then I quote "Omg, he's too hot to be dead..." Silly sister. She means well.

Anyway, this movie is cursed. Someone died during practise shooting of the film, I think it was a cameraman who hit a tree?

it's not cursed. things happen. and from what i've read, he'd been taking ambien to try to sleep, and it wasn't working well. so, while yes, some people use sleeping pills to kill themselves . . . i suspect more that he just accidentally took too many in his exhaustion.

You know what movie was cursed? Three Men and a Baby. There was a ghost on the set!

There is a ghost in my closet called It. *cry*

Meg, I was just having some fun ;) I don't believe in curses. Karma? Yes. Curses? No.

Well, now, according to a Yahoo article I read, he hadn't started his post-production voice recording, so it may be someone else playing the Joker after all. I really hope that's not true. I know that a lot of people were looking forward to that movie.
