Re: Eid Mubarak!
Eid-ul-Fitr is a Muslim holiday that celebrates the end of the month of Ramadan, where we fast from dawn until sunset for about 29-30 days. There's more in the Wikipedia article about it. KF

Hooray!
I'm no stranger to fasting; removing eating restrictions is always a good reason to celebrate.

Re: Eid Mubarak!
I'd been aware of this day this year - a friend of mine forewent roleplaying until today.
I'm a little late here, but best wishes right back at ya!

I remember helping to serve supper while at college, and I could always tell who had been fasting. I hope the day was a good one for you!

And best wishes to you too!! <3
Is fasting still a common tradition? Or does one just give up something dear to them in a similar style to Lent?? I apologize, I know so little about the holiday. ;~;

Yeah it's still a common tradition; most Muslims worldwide continue to observe it. No food or drink from dawn until sunset for about thirty days. KFLuNaRtIc wrote:And best wishes to you too!! <3
