Well, well, well...what have we here?

Post by Dark_Althena »

Hello, all. As you can see I am new here. I just wanted to give you a heads up and say Hi is all.

I love Lunar, I've seen both played, and played some or most of both of them myself.

I LOVE discussing Lunar more than just about anything else. Wee!!!

Lunar rocks my socks.

Hey, welcome to the boards!

Just a heads-up, you might want to use a brighter font to make your text easier to read. Try 'violet' instead of 'indigo'. KF

Welcome to the forums! Don't worry, I don't bite....

Though I have to admit, I feel like I've seen your screen name somewhere before, but I think it's just me losing my mind ^_^

There's probably been a lot of users with the word "Althena" in their name. Probably where you're getting it.

Anywho, welcome to the boards! We're a pretty docile bunch, so you won't have to worry about anyone getting all "OMGSTFU N00B" on you.

Happy posting!

Welcome, welcome! Seems you've come to the right place! =) Just one thing, beware of Phyco's friendship rings... unless you are immune to radioactive waves.

Welcome to the board, Dark_Althena. I know phyco, the name does seem familiar, and it has more to do with the Dark than the Althena. I like your avatar by the way. ^_^

Welcome to the boards I haven`t been here all that long, but it can get kinda enteresting around Phyco trust me. My intro thread is 4 pages of off topic conversations that have at least somthing to do with Phyco, but everytime I`d check to see if someone had posted, these guys had me rollin on the floor because of the crazy things they posted while I was away from the computer.

well have fun posting

Only as active as we make it. Sometimes it can get very quite, like 1 or 2 posts a day, or it can get fairly active, up to 15+ posts a day. It all depends on the topics, everyone's discussions, etc etc etc

15 posts a day is abysmal. I'm going to try to pull some people i know over here and liven this place up.

This place doesn't need to become overrun with fads and memes but a few of our own couldn't hurt.

perhaps on occasion, when it's active, we each play the Lunar bar music?

Not really. If you're used to a faster board, you're definitely in for a change of pace. This is no GameFAQs, but I think just about everyone here prefers this type of board. We actually have time to think before posting here.

I can't be bothered with GameFAQs. They are truly an ignorant and ridiculous bunch. Especially the arrogant people from LUE.

I enjoy places like Overclocked Remix and Mall Monkeys when it was alive. Quite lively boards.

I intend to bring as many major and intelligent Lunar fans here as i can so there'll be more conversation.

15 posts a day is fine when the content of the posts is good. About half of yours have been substantive, the other half has been one-liners.

I'd much rather there be fewer, substantive posts, than high post counts and a bunch of one-line chat-room like dialogue to filter through. We have IRC and AIM for that. KF

LunarNet has its own chat room on an IRC server?

The link is here: http://www.lunarnet.org

"We" I think was the wrong choice of words. But LunarNet is an IRC server. It's not affiliated with us, though.

LunarNet started up about the same time LunarNET did. The name is entirely coincidental. Just since most folks who use either are Lunar fans, and one's a website while one's an IRC server (well, 4 servers), there wasn't any need to make a distinction between LunarNET / Lunar-NET the website, and LunarNet the IRC network.

The LunarNet IRC network has four servers (they're mentioned on the website, including). I haven't signed on in ages (I'm actually on there right now--I usually use the RPGCafe server, and join #arcadia). DMLou, Nadia, and a lot of other folks from the classic Lunar fandom usually frequent it. Plus a lot of IRC RPGs are run on there as well. KF

Speaking of which, are they still doing any Lunar RPG on there? I know it was mentioned at the panel last week from your write-up. Not that I intend to try and get involved (I need to concentrate what time I have on the site before anything else right now) but it'd be great to hear that there are some IRC RPGs for Lunar going on again.
