Honestly, it boils down to a few people making a concerted effort to start or contribute to conversations (which I've tried to do as well). If it seems empty, not so many people visit; once a few people start some activity, others feel more apt to join in. KF

^ This. It's a few people commenting with interesting things to say over several topics. It's much easier to respond than it is to start a new thread or jumpstart a conversation.
