any one listen to jethro tull its one of my favorite bands because their work has so much diversity
whats your favorite style of his

most of there stuff is rock but there are touches of jazz bluses folk country and even some classical and medevil styles

in 1988 they beat metalica for best hard rock and hevay metal performance grammy award

The only thing I know of, at all, is their playing a Bourree by Bach in a jazz style. This was rather entertaining to watch because the flautist, who was playing the melody, a) tended to open his eyes *really* wide, a rather dramatic effect with his flowing brown hair and b) was frequently standing on one foot. That was, um, quite a while ago now (as in I think it's on a videotape we have from 1970).

It really sucked that they won the first heavy metal grammy, but they aren't even a heavy metal band. :lol: That really turned a lot of heavy metal fans away from the grammies. I like him though. I love the idea of a flute in a rock band. :)

i was suprised when someone first told me about them i was like what kinda crap is this a flute band
but i listend to it and it was really good

im not against flute or flute players but when my friend recomended it i was listing to iron maiden and led zeppelin so it was alot of contrast to be listing to a flute

iv even attempted to play a little on my sisters flute since shes given up on it
