Eh... I don't think I'll ever be able to get past what they did to The Cure's "Lovesong."

Lawlz @ Jenner.

I actually like the cover they pulled of Love Song. Granted I'm not a huge fan of The Cure...

Stoned and Drunk by Black Label Society

Disillusioned, pure confusion,
where I'm rolling, never never knowing
Walkin' minefields, all is surreal,
where I'm rolling, never never knowing
Walked out of my mind,
don't wanna find, whatevers left
Poppin' pills and drinkin' booze,
smokin' everyday
Stoned and drunk completely gone,
my world is here to stay

Ain't no silence, constant violence,
where I'm rolling, never never knowing
Demolition, crucifixion,
where I'm rolling, never never knowing

Walked out of my mind,
don't wanna find, whatevers left
Stoned and drunk completely gone,
my world is here to stay
Hide my fears and kill my doubts,
whatevers in my way
Poppin' pills and drinkin' booze,
smokin' everyday
Stoned and drunk completely gone,
my world is here to stay

Walked out of my mind,
don't wanna find, whatevers left
Stoned and drunk completely gone,
my world is here to stay
Hide my fears and kill my doubts,
whatevers in my way
Poppin' pills and drinkin' booze,
smokin' everyday
Stoned and drunk completely gone,
my world is here to stay

I guess you have to hear the lyris of BLS to fully appreciate them, or you could do just as the song says
Poppin' pills and drinkin' booze, smokin' everyday Stoned and drunk completely gone, my world is here to stay
I actualy like them so dont take it the wrong way.

This is one of the best songs i have ever heard, i recomend actualy listing to it. its called "I want to Live" By Gary Ogan and Bill Lamb

I've gathered all my lifetime, memories of you
My lusty sentiments, they made life seem true
I'm rather selfish and I mean to be unkind
You can't imagine what it does to me inside

[Chorus:]
But where am I? I want to die!
I want to live... I want to die.
Oooh...

If I were someone, I would like to be the fool
No one would know me, and I think that would be cool
I'd paint a picture of my life upon your walls
And use the colors that have made life seem small

[Chorus]

But you've got a way of understanding me
And I'll just call it one of your mysteries
But you know you've got to stay close to me
Oooh, close to me

Ten Fists OF Nations By Agent Steel

Ten Fists of Nations
Create the hate - Cause the cancer
Syphon life and paralyze

Enforce the peace - Give medication
Convincing man to compromise

A modern Christ - A new messiah
Born of war, from blackened sand

Anointed lord - By my disciples
Ten fists of nations I command

There'll be no golden future
Though they are trained to strive
Only enough to sate them, to keep the herd alive

Soon you shall know - I'll be revealed
You'll see the light behind my eyes

To touch the flame - To trust my presence
Make you feel safe inside my lies

And I'll speak the promise
And I'll bend your mind
And while I offer solace
I kill you from inside

Ten fists of hate - Ten tongues of lies
Rising child of Zion - when two suns shine in the sky

Thy Kingdom come by my command
Let the eye of Giza drive your souls into my hands
Ten fists of hate - Ten tongues of lies

My kingdom calling you - My will for all of you
Ten fists of nations call - I feel it dragging you down

And as the wealth of nations gather
And the cattle don their reins
In complete consolidation
A single move to end the game

With agony a symphony
With thunder at my hand
Send a Message to Our Fathers
That the earth is now in their command

And with no more hesitation
I let the comet fly
By my hand the earth awash with light
The End written in the sky

Ten fists of hate - Ten tongues of lies
Rising child of Zion - when two suns shine in the sky

Thy Kingdom come by my command
Let the eye of Giza shine
Choose Your Weapon

Jotun by In Flames

Jotun
I often dream of huge numb buildings
jet-black sinister architecture
being installed when nobody sees
Their appearance so sudden
that few would take notice

And when I wake up
I imagine being crushed by one
imagining its weight its silence
and the absence of excuses for a havoced life
and the privilege of a 22-kilometre tombstone

Jotun

A body of black
that carried no reflection
defying its own room
un-earthly eggs of decreation

There would be colonies
mushroom-scattered forever out of context
rising spores from a dying world
to pollute to chase away what´s left

Sun-white pulverised desert stone
and serpentine lizard mouths
Pales away the pyramids
rewriting 4500 years of history
raping the statue of liberty
outplays the acropolis
inverting the fjords
invades the n y skyline to
dream its own existence in one single final word

Jotun

Can we identify them
as the flint buried in our reptile skulls
or the time-bomb coded in our dna

That's a really awesome song ^. Most people forget about how great a band they were in their earlier years, simply because their new material is so trendy and lacking.

"Whoracle" is a great album.

I concur.

Ace of Spades by Motorhead

If you like to gamble,
I tell you I'm your man.
You win some, lose some;
All the same to me.
The pleasure is to play,
Makes no difference what you say.
I don't share your greed,
The only card I need is

The ace of spades.

Playing for the high one,
Dancing with the devil,
Going with the flow,
It's all a game to me.
Seven or eleven?
Snake eyes watching you.
Double up or quit,
Double stake or split.

The ace of spades.

You know I'm born to lose,
And gambling's for fools,
But that's the way I like it baby.
I don't wanna live for ever,
And don't forget the joker!

Pushing up the ante,
I know you've got to see me.
Read 'em and weep,
The dead man's hand again.
I see it in your eyes.
Take one look and die.
The only thing you see,
You know it's gonna be,

The ace of spades.

Since the supergroup has a new album on the way out for the 25th, I've been listening to their albums again, particularly their first one (N.O.L.A.) since it is an outstanding achievement in southern sludge/stoner metal. Hopefully Anselmo and the guys haven't lost it.

Bury Me In Smoke by Down

Windows are closing to keep me locked
No chance was given to find myself today...
My time of aging... wonder when I'll die...
But When My Time Will Come I Know The Reason WHY!!!
I have an escape, alone it keeps me safe and in my home
I have a reason, to keep me satisfied until I'm gone
Don't regret the rules I broke
When I die bury me in smoke
Under the world I wait for my fate
My soul is wasting beneath my blissful haze
My time of aging wonder when I'll die
But when my time will come, I know the reason why
I have an escape, alone it keeps me safe and in my home
I have a reason, to keep me satisfied until I'm gone
Don't regret the rules I broke
When I die bury me in smoke

Wish You Well - Thousand Foot Krutch

Sometimes love, feels like pain,
And sometimes I wonder if it’s all the same,
Sometimes life, feels just like rain,
‘Cause you never know, when it’s gonna fall down on you/

I wish you well, I wish you well,
On this trip to find yourself,
I wish you well, wish I could help,
But I can’t help you find yourself/

Sometimes faith, feels like doubt,
And sometimes I wonder if we’ll ever get out,
Sometimes life hurts just like now,
But ya gotta know…it’s all gonna come back around/

I wish you well, I wish you well,
On this trip to find yourself,
I wish you well, wish I could help,
But I can’t help you find yourself/

Find yourself,….. I can’t help you find your self(X2)/

And we were sixteen at the time, nothing could ever change our minds,
We were one step below invincible, and we always fought it/
You’ve never been the same, you were so scared to make a name,
Then you threw it all away, and I wish you’d….come back/ Now/

I wish you well, I wish you well,
On this trip to find yourself,
I wish you well, wish I could help,
But I can’t help you find yourself/
I wish you well, I wish you well,
On this trip to find yourself,
I wish you well, wish I could help,
But I can’t help you find you/

I wish you well, I wish you well,
On this trip to find yourself,
I wish you well, wish I could help,
But I can’t help you find yourself/

Find yourself,….. I can’t help you find your self(X2)/

Been a few years since I was on a P.O.D. kick, but with their original guitarist back, and a new album coming, I went back and listened to their golden age of Satellite the other day, and forgot how much I love this album.

So yeah:

P.O.D. Set It Off

Our time has come watch me set it off
It's been a while but we back
So you can count it loss
We lie and wait don't hesitate
When opportunity knocks
Break the locks and rush the gates
Seize the day we got moves to make
It's got to be now
Cause we're half past late
Say what you say but you aint shown me nothin
If you want me to feel you
Then you best to show me something
All bark and no bite talking all hype
I hang with the illest
You I don't recognize
Desensitize and paralyze
Sabotage headquarters
Flood your bloodlines, we sterilize

Here we come
Chat down dem Babylon
The wicked man when he sees me I go run
Me understand
Why dem cowards don't want none
Underground blaze the sound to Armageddon

Our time has come

(chorus 2X)

RISE- Let your spirit fly
RISE- Stand up for yourself
RISE- Hold your head up high
Our time has come
Set it off

Choose my battles unravel your crew
Dismantle they still cant handle or fathom
What I throw at 'em
I can't imagine they babblin'
Acting like I'm laughing, don't find it funny
But I smile at your sarcasm
You plastic, so tragic, you fake
So you mask it, no gimmicks, no antics
We real and we've outlasted
Your phoniness, so you best to come correct
You want to disrespect
Why do cowards talk the loudest
Papa didn't raise no punk
On everything I love, if you ready
Then come and get it son
Overpower the strong tower
Infiltrate top ranks
Count down the final hour

Here we come
Chant down dem Babylon
The wicked man when he sees me I got run
Me understand
Why dem cowards don't want none
Underground blaze the sound to Armageddon

Our time has come

(chorus 2x)

Rise

(3x)
(Let your spirit fly)
We made it, We made it
We made it this far
(Let your spirit fly)
Don't you quit, don't you quit
Don't you quit on me

Rise (3x)
Set it off

(Chorus)
(continue until end of song)

I don't really care for Stone Sour, but I do like the fact that this is an anti-Bush song.

Come What(ever) May by Stone Sour

Can you take away
Every single day
That we have given to another false prophet?

Can you give us all
A reason not to fall
Before you take away another broken promise?

Show your pretty face,
Hide the bitter taste,
You're still a rapist of an entire nation.

You wanna be the man?
You gotta be a man.
But you are nothing but a sad insinuation.

How can we ever live this down?
How can we ever live this down?

Keep your fingers crossed,
The truth is all but lost.
Big decision for an ordinary coward.

The only problem is
You're -Fatal Hopper- rhetoric.
We're more in danger than before you took power.

Now it's just a game,
God, you'll never change.
You'll sell us out if you can only find a buyer.

You don't give a -Dragon Diamond-,
As long as idiots
Are in your corner, you can set us all on fire.

How can we ever live this down?
How can we ever live this down?

You never wanted to be,
They only wanted parody.
You want the world to be free.
What the hell is free about it?

Now we've reached the end,
Just get it over with.
But this is building to an adamant conclusion.

Come what(ever) may,
There's going to be a day,
When we have figured out a possible solution.

Everything you've done
Is killing everyone.
A little smile on a homicidal bastard.

You wanna be the man?
You gotta have a plan.
Another failure is a guaranteed disaster.

How can we ever live this down?
How can we ever live this down?

You never wanted to be,
They only wanted a parody.
You want the world to be free.

You only wanted the world,
You never wanted to be.
They only wanted a parody.
You want the world to be free.
What the -Fatal Hopper- is free about it?

So... I actually like the new Nightwish single, Amaranth (I know, miracles never cease). I think it's because the new singer fits the band's timing better and can use her voice without going so far into the operatic style that it throws the timing of the song off. Maybe their song writing has gotten better, I dunno. It's kind of an addicting song that runs in the vein of something you would hear on any Within Temptation album (that's probably why I like it).

Amaranth by Nightwish

Baptized with a perfect name
The doubting one by heart
Alone without himself

War between him and the day
Need someone to blame
In the end, little he can do alone

You believe but what you see?
You receive but what you give?

Caress the one, the never-fading
rain in your heart - the tears of snow-white sorrow
Caress the one, the hiding amaranth
In a land of the daybreak

Apart from the wandering pack
In this brief flight of time we reach
For the ones, whoever dare

You believe but what you see?
You receive but what you give?

Caress the one, the never-fading
rain in your heart - the tears of snow-white sorrow
Caress the one, the hiding amaranth
In a land of the daybreak

Reaching, searching for something untouched
Hearing voices of the never-fading calling

Caress the one, the never-fading
rain in your heart - the tears of snow-white sorrow
Caress the one, the hiding amaranth
In a land of the daybreak

This Is Who We Are + Cartel

Patience, child it will find you
Your deepest dreams will guide you
the moment that you're born
all night my fear inside will come through
haunting right behind you
don't let it get that far

Somehow
breathe a little deeper now
cause this is who we are
when we look into their eyes
don't fly so high
so high little bird
you'll get your wings clipped
we'll pick it up, pick it up
now you've learned

Searching
for moment that defines you
your deepest dreams remind you
get out before you're gone
Now that all you hear is what surrounds you
push it out, give it out
from around you
never stop and you will find it all

Somehow
breathe a little deeper now
cause this is who we are
when we look into their eyes
don't fly so high
so high little bird
you'll get your wings clipped
we'll pick it up, pick it up
now you've learned

So we decide...
We decided
We decide this now
So find out how we can survive
How we can survive
If we learn how to live our lives
If we learn how to live...

Somehow
breathe a little deeper now
cause this is who we are
when we look into their eyes
don't fly so high
so high little bird
you'll get your wings clipped
pick it up, pick it up
now you've learned

Tessie by The Dropkick Murphys

Tessie is the Royal Rooters rally cry
Tessie is the tune they always sung
Tessie echoed April through October nights
After serenading Stahl, Dinneen and Young
Tessie is a maiden with a sparkling eye
Tessie is a maiden with a love
She doesn't know the meaning of her sight
She's got a comment full of love
And sometimes when the game is on the line
Tessie always carried them away
Up the road from "Third Base" to Huntington
The boys will always sing and sway

Two! Three! Four!

Tessie, "Nuf Ced" McGreevey shouted
We're not here to mess around
Boston, you know we love you madly
Hear the crowd roar to your sound
Don't blame us if we ever doubt you
You know we couldn't live without you
Tessie, you are the only only only

The Rooters showed up at the grounds one day
They found their seats had all been sold
McGreevey led the charge into the park
Stormed the gates and put the game on hold
The Rooters gave the other team a dreadful fright
Boston's tenth man could not be wrong
Up from "Third Base" to Huntington
They'd sing another victory song

Two! Three! Four!

Tessie, "Nuf Ced" McGreevey shouted
We're not here to mess around
Boston, you know we love you madly
Hear the crowd roar to your sound
Don't blame us if we ever doubt you
You know we couldn't live without you
Tessie, you are the only only only

The Rooters gave the other team a dreadful fright
Boston's tenth man could not be wrong
Up from "Third Base" to Huntington
They'd sing another victory song

Two! Three! Four!

Tessie, "Nuf Ced" McGreevey shouted
We're not here to mess around
Boston, you know we love you madly
Hear the crowd roar to your sound
Don't blame us if we ever doubt you
You know we couldn't live without you
Tessie, you are the only only only
Don't blame us if we ever doubt you
You know we couldn't live without you
Boston, you are the only only only
Don't blame us if we ever doubt you
You know we couldn't live without you
Red Sox, you are the only only only

Man, I love this song. I didn't even use a website for the lyrics, I wrote them all myself. I r teh spesal.

Papa Roach
-Forever

In the brightest hour of my darkest day
I realized what is wrong with me
Can’t get over you
Can’t get through to you
It’s been a helter skelter romance from the start
Take these memories that are haunting me
Of a paper man cutting to shreds
By his own pair of scissors
Can never forgive her
He’ll never forgive her

Because days come and go, but my feelings are forever
Because days come and go, but my feelings are forever

Sitting by a fire
On a lonely night
Hanging over from another good time
With another girl, little dirty girl
You should listen to this story of a live
You are my heroin in this moment of lonely
For filling my darkest dreams

All these drugs all these women
I’ll never forgiven
This broken heart of mine

Because days come and go, but my feelings of you are forever
Because days come and go, but my feelings of you are forever
One last kiss, before I go…
Dry your tears, it is time to let you go
One last kiss, (One last kiss) before I go, (Before I go) Dry your tears (Dry your tears)
It is time to let you go

Because days, come and go, but my feelings for you are forever
Because days, come and go, but my feelings for you are forever

One last kiss, (One last kiss) before I go (Before I go)
Dry your tears, (Dry your tears) it is time to let you go
One last kiss, before I go
Dry your tears, it is time, to let you go
One last kiss
