I think that goes a bit past an allusion, Sonic, since he just replaces the word "guitar" with "keytar" (I mean every other word in the song is the same) and makes the music sound techno-y. Still, I thought it was an interesting "cover."

Beachy Head - Mechanical Me (Bonobo remix)

Laying very still
Underneath the sun
Waiting for the cool of the night to come
I pickup a stone
Press it in my palms
Throw it out to sea and count wishes

repeat x 3

Bulletproof by La Roux. I've recently gotten into her music and now I can't stop listening to her songs. *_*

I thought so too. She's all I've been listening to lately. *_* I'm actually surprised there isn't more hype about her. (Which probably means I'm just late to the party and the buzz has already happened. xD)

This is another good one.

Yes, though the video is WEIRD.

In for the Kill is probably my favorite.

I'm really into the song "For Those Who Wait" by Fireflight right now. CD comes out this week, but got an early download of the title track. Really great stuff.

Besides getting hooked on La Roux, thanks to LuNaRtIc, I've also been rocking out to the newest BT album, These Hopeful Machines. BT is an absolute genius, with some of the most inspiring and uplifting electronic music I've ever heard.

This will not be leaving the cd player in my car for a very long time.

I know the thread topic is singular, but it was just too darn hard to pick one track to share...

Suddenly

Every Other Way

The Unbreakable

Are feelings cast in stone
Or can you navigate a desperate road
Is change a choice for everyone
Or are we destined when we’re born

I know you’ve waited so long
Oh you’ve waited so long
I know you’ve waited so long, so long
So long

And now you have the sun and the moon
Helps you blossom, makes you bloom
(You can’t deny)
That all our faded hopes and dreams
Light up like Christmas trees

And ask me how I know
Ask me how I know
I feel like I’m alive
I can’t lose
On a scale
On a scale
On a scale that only proves

The sun
The sun
The sun gets in my eyes
My eyes

I’m feeling the sun through the dark and the grey

Even the sun in the light of the day
It never returned, never turns my way
I, I’m not breaking
And somewhere the love in a space I have known
In a massive city of stone
Even though
Even though
I’m not breaking
I’m not breaking

Truth as we see it
(Yeah)
Hearts stressed to the limit
(Yeah)
Yeah and everyone’s coming over

No
You see
You treat me like no other
You treat me like no other
No other
No other
No other

Deeper down, deep below
How happy
How many hopes
How many blows
How many highs
How many lows
How many dreams

Y’know I will
I will
I will
I will
I will

I’m the light below you
I’m the light below you
I’m the light below you
Below you
So don’t look down
Don’t look down

On and on and on and on and on
On and on and on and on and on

Even the sun in the light of the day
It never returned, never turns my way
I, I’m not breaking
And somewhere the love in a space I have known
In a massive city of stone
Even though
Even though
I’m not breaking

I’m feeling the sun in the light of the day
Its simmering heat, gonna lead my way
I, I’m not breaking
And somewhere there’s love in a place I have known
I’ve gotta get back, yeah and maybe alone
Even though
Even though
I’m not breaking
I’m not breaking
I’m not breaking

How much truth can you handle
Hearts meld like candles
Heart fails
And everyone’s coming over
(And over)
(Yeah)

And everyone’s coming over
(yeah)
Everyone’s coming over
Ah

I love that soundtrack. It's sooooo beautiful. And so is the series...

Very, very much so.

And apparently the US release of the series is out of print. That's going to set me back, but I think it's worth it.

Keeping things topical,

Hey, remember the 90's?

"Savory" by Jawbox. I've been listening to this whole album, "For Your Own Special Sweetheart" a lot lately. I really don't understand why these guys never really became all that popular, they were a great band and both their albums are really good.

Since ABe is probably my favorite artists of all time and he originally wrote the doujin for this series, you can imagine how high on my list this is. The OST is awesome.

As for the series, there was the original 4 disc release and later, a second box set. Get the latter if you can since it has the box already included (and its prettier). =D I don't think its that hard to find now, is it? 0.0
