Lunar Threads

This is the highlight of my year as well, and hopefully it's going to be amazing.

Not only is this my first convention, but my first time going up to Chicago. I'm exited about trying some deep dish pizza and seeing various things after the convention. Everyone else in my group has been to Chicago before. I'm the only newbie to Chicago, but we're all newbies to the convention.

I'm excited about meeting some voice actors and getting autographs (not to mention all the goodies I'm bound to pick up).

Yeah, didn't want to double post so I simply deleted my last post and quoted it.

Acen was amazing. It was one of the best trips I've had. I want to go next year after all the fun I had, but it's a few weeks before finals are for my university. So yeah. I've just got to find another convention next year. I'm pretty much open to anything that isn't TOO far away. As long as I can take a Megabus or two again like I did this time, any convention that isn't too far away would be good.

One lesson I learned was definitely to save more money back for the trip. I couldn't get a lot of stuff I wanted and ended up pretty broke by the end of the convention.

Also, I saw a Ramus cosplay! I wish I could have gotten a picture. Was anybody here Ramus? If so, I saw you. XD

So, really? No one heading to Raleigh for Animazement?

Much envy you can go to the anime conventions. I don't any opportunity!

I was going to attend Onicon this year, but they banned fan art and so I was unable to do my booth (the first time I was going to run a booth too). They never update their info soon enough, so I'm not really seeing any actors/panels worth attending.

Probably going to go to RenFair instead.

Going to AkiCon this Oct 26-28th in Bellevue Washington.

Time for thread resurrection! Anyone going to Acen this year? If anyone going wants to meet up, pm me.

I know Alayna did go, but... she doesn't really post on the forums so much anymore. She had an awesome-looking art booth over there too. KF

Wish I hadn't been so busy and saw this sooner! I was at ACEN again this year. I didn't see any Lunar cosplay this year, sadly.

I must have missed her! D: I know back when I first started going to Otakon there was quite a bit of Lunar cosplays but nowadays I'm lucky if I see 1. v.v

If anyone is going to be in Raleigh, NC for Animazement this year, look for myself or my buddy. We're going to be there all weekend promoting our stream and hanging out in the Arcade room.

We're also going to try to attend other conventions with this express purpose. Not sure which ones right at the moment, but it's a plan.

I saw "Amaizement." That'd be a great name for a maize convention.

Come to Dragon*con! I'll likely be around for the weekend.

Anyone else coming to Acen this year?

Decided this year to go to ColossalCon in Ohio for the next few days, my friends and I wanted to do something different. Plus, ACEN really didn't have any guests we wanted to see this year.

I'll be honest i've never really went to a con (unless I count the the two that were more or less really small venues) but me and my friend would love to go to Anime Boston. He went two or three years ago and said it was pretty good.

If anyone's going to AnimeNEXT this coming weekend, I will (weather permitting) be Ghaleon's final boss form from the remakes on Friday. I say weather permitting because the current predicted high temperature is 92 F, so I'm not entirely sure I want to wear that costume if it really is that hot...

I need to look into what cons are in Chicago. I just moved about 2 months ago now and missed going to Otakon because of it. D;

The only ones that I know of are Anime Midwest http://www.animemidwest.com/ and Anime Central http://www.acen.org/

I'm sure there are probably more, but those are the two I know of.
