At one point I went to a cosplay Kareoke night dressed as Dark Althena and sang Luna's Boat Song, but couldn't get over the fact that I was the "wrong Luna" for the song, so I made her starting outfit (my version fuses aspects of the SCD and remake artwork.) Both cosplays made and modeled by me. Luna photos by Dragonmaster Lou, JasonHarrisPromotions (aka Dudley228), and family members who wish to remain anyonmous.

It was a great costume, I have to admit...

I decided to create a "trilogy" of sorts and make the ancient/15 years before TSS or SSS/statue version of Althena as well. I used the hologram in EB on SCD as my main reference point, hence the lavender rather than white/red clothing in SSS. I might improve this one later, but this is good enough to upload for now imo. Lunar cosplay #11 here we go!

They're ok. The fabric and quality looks like it's missing something... It just doesn't fit, but it looks like you put a lot of time and effort into designing everything!

Sorry, but, "it just doesn't fit" can come off as insensitive? Especially when there isn't any more specific comment/critique...

Just from knowing a lot of cosplayers, and the level of care they put into things. Smaller one-off comments like that can come off rather dismissive...

I wasn't trying to be insensitive? From my pov, the costume looks like it's missing something. I was talking about the fabric itself. I just can't put my finger on it. I complimented the time and effort which there is a lot of detail. That's great.

Kizyr, I appreciate your intervening.

ShugoHanasaki, it really does come accross as insensitive as is. As I've told you in the past, if you're going to critique my cosplays, tell me specifically, how would you make them differently? If you can't answer that, then it's just nitpicking. Eg: (since you highlighted it) what fabric would you use (and for which one, there are 3 here)? Acknowledging that I put time/effort put into making these cosplays is not the same as complimenting the finished cosplays themselves.

It's not nitpicking... man... I'm not skilled in sewing. That I can admit so i wouldn't be able to tell you what exactly is missing. The time and effort you put into the detail is spot on! I'm ignorant when it comes to what material clothing is half the time, lol when it comes to sewing and creating projects. I don't know the name of the fabric of what i'm referring to.

For example; people can be critical over a singing voice, but be ignorant to what a person needs to do to change it to make it sound better. Their ears tell them one thing, but their mind doesn't know what direction to take because they're not educated enough on the subject. It's like that.

I've complimented it in the way that i see. I'm not being offensive. I have stated this multiple times now.

I can't be anymore clear then that.

Merry Christmas, guys! (^.^)

I did a makeup tutorial for Luna (planning another one for the Dark Goddess eventually too.)
