tales of 3 to 4 day binges that end with dying have me afraid to play MMO games.

Incidents like that don't happen because of the game itself, but because of the people playing them being unstable. Out of the 8 million or so people who play WoW, there have been a small handful of incidents like that reported. Trust me, WoW won't kill you.

I honestly don't understand how people can sink so much time into that game. It was awesome at first, with the novelty of being in an online environment with all those other players and stuff, but I grew to hate dealing with other players, so I'd just go out and solo all the time, and what's the point of paying $15 a month to do that? I pretty much stick to single-player games now.

lol. My main's Night Elf (Deathgiant level 19 Hunter) but I like my Blood Elf (Deathblood level 6 Palidin (lol)) more. He looks cooler.

well at least I have my new addons and my Night Elf is now lev 24 or 25. Been a a few weeks since last played.
