Post by Megalodon »

Anybody else playing this? I am only on the third chapter and absolutely loving it. Its made by Sega and doesn't suck. Go figure.

Sega does have a long history of quality games (and even RPGs -- in the early days of the Genesis, it was considered the system for RPG fans). Unfortunately, it seems like things have gone downhill since the days of the Genesis and especially went down hill when Sega stopped making its own hardware.

The game is made by WOW (overworks), so I'm not surprised. Will pick up when I have the time and money (I just blew a bunch in Japan)

My interest in this title just spiked. I'm not entirely sure what else they made, but Skies of Arcadia was amazing.

Edit: Oh... it's for the PS3. Well, I'll probably get it someday. Have to get a PS3 first. I wonder when the next price drop will be...

We played a little bit of it; a friend brought it over. I liked what I saw of the voices, characterization, and story; the battle system took a little getting used to (but the closest I've gotten to playing a "real" SRPG is Vanguard Bandits, and that was six years ago). We'll probably pick it up eventually.

It actually has Vyse and another character in it from SoA as playable characters.

The battle system is definately different. I prefer turn based RPG's. After a few hours I have adjusted. Did you play it on an HDTV? I can't get over how great the art style of this game is.

I think it is. I went ahead and used the purchase option though Gamefly.
