Ooh! That battle screen with Jian, Gabryel, and Rufus is absolutely awesome! I still want to see Flora's sprite, though. They gave us an image of her battle screen portrait but didn't show how she actually looks in battle. Aside from that, the colosseum/coliseum (how are they spelling it in this game, anyway?) looks to be shaping up nicely. I could be terribly mistaken since I know no Japanese, but it looks pretty cool, at least.

I sure hope there is a good amount of magic spells in this game, because I love me some spells. I can't stand the isometric viewpoint though as far as the lay of the land is concerned. It's just something I never liked.
It would be cool if you could switch party members in and out of battle, so your three party team onscreen actually had two in reserve when needed. Seems unlikely though...

Maybe story needs will ensure that never more than three characters are around at any one time? Phantasy Star IV did that, with ten playable characters but never more than five at a time. There was some party flexibility for the end battle, but otherwise the storyline removed characters in time for others to join (and without making every removed party member croak).
