Re: Magic?
Well that's because Lunar has TRULY random battles. So many RPGs that came after them had an encounter rate that seemed to operate in a timing of sort. I can't think of many other games where you can walk for 20 seconds without a battle or get into one every other step you take for a while.

When I talk to older gamers about their favorite RPGs (Those who started in NES or SNES era), I often see it coming down between Lunar 1 and Suikoden 2 as their favorite one overall.Mimasaka wrote:I started replaying the "Suikoden" series a couple of years ago... Ronfar's spells can also totally screw your ass. He may be a master gambler in the story but when you're using him in battle, he seems to have varying odds. I noticed that his spells seem to mostly work in some dungeons/areas and then hardly ever work in others. If this isn't a replay, be aware that...

That's actually pretty badass. You should also put each page on the net since you'd be able to lay the pages flat on the copier. A lot of Lunar fans can't buy those books.

The donations have slowed down quite a bit but I'm still hopeful for reaching the 2.5m mark. We still have 27 days to go.

Re: Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night - A Koji Igarashi Game
I care what others think about almost anything. I'm always asking opinions about things like music or art. I want to know what kind of people live in this world, and what they're after. It helps understand a lot more about what to do, what not to do, and even how I like to sound when I give my own ...

I used to think of Joan Rivers as "That annoying old woman who keeps interviewing young celebrities" until I decided to look into what she did and found out that she was hilarious on stage.

It's not that I'm coming down on you, it's that nobody is going to change Alunissage. If you haven't picked up that there are things I know that I can't share in the years you've been posting here, well, I don't know what to say. It's a video game. How can there be stuff you "can't say"? We aren't talking about mafia secrets. @ all: in any case, unless any of you can prove...

I like that idea. Though imagine a game where Tempest IS the Dragonmaster. The game would likely have a western feeling like Wild Arms mixed with Little House On The Prairie.

I have done no such thing. If you want me to believe that anyone on this project cared beyond getting that next paycheck, please provide some evidence. The ending alone is such a rush job that it leaves one under the impression that the developers were in as much of a hurry to get this over with as...

That's similar to my numbers. If only other companies would build their systems with Nintendo's level of endurance.
