Re: Lose 30 pounds by your next appointment with me....
@DragonmasterDan I have been doing the calories thing. I noticed that some things I eat were high calories and low fat... but others were lower calories and higher fat. ._. I'm wondering if any of the calorie cutting evens that fat out... Unless you've been given specific instructions to cut down i...

Re: Lose 30 pounds by your next appointment with me....
The only guide line I got was cut my portions in half and don't snack. :( I was going to go to a dietician but my insurance didn't cover it. T_T The big thing to do is watch the calories in everything you eat and keep a running total. Set a goal for yourself, depending on your height, weight and me...

Re: Lose 30 pounds by your next appointment with me....
So... my doctor said I have to lose weight because my poor liver. And he demanded I lose 30 pounds in 3 months. O_O; I can't move around too much cause I only have 30% lung capacity. It's gonna all be a matter of diet. I'm too scared to eat... I have been vegetarian for 6 years. And I found o...

Re: PSP remake of Tactics Ogre
If you've not played the original release (and by that I actually mean the later release in English on the PSone and not the Super Famicom original) it's a pretty good game that's very similar to Final Fantasy Tactics. The GBA Sequel is also a solid game as well.

Re: Dragon Quest IX
Yeah, I did play the remakes. They weren't half as enjoyable without ye olde English. Or square torchlight. Especially DQI, as primitive as it is. I never got to play III on the NES, but I thought IV had ye olde English. But I could be misremembering; it's been years. You know, I couldn't have imag...

Re: Dragon Quest IX
My understanding is that DQVIII was localized by a British company. I've gotten the feel that the Dragon Quests released since then are trying a little too hard to sound British. I don't know whether it's an American company doing it, or the same British company trying to retain the magic of VIII's...

best localizations A question - has anyone else noticed a few irregularities in the translations of this one? It's nothing like typos, but little instances where I feel like something's off. Idioms where they use "minute" instead of "moment," things like that? Otherwise, it's st...

Re: Dragon Quest IX
In addition to DD's description, it's got the cutest monsters this side of Pokemon. Meowgicians are far cuter than anything in Pokemon :P In any event, the series has a tremendous amount of charm to it, which has to be experienced to be fully understood. Added in edit: Dragon Quest 8 on PS2 is extr...

Re: Dragon Quest IX
What is it like? I've never played a dragon quest game. I'm thinking about getting it, but i don't really know much about it. Well, Dragon Quest is a whismical and charming RPG series with a light hearted tone. The games in the series are more like Chrono Trigger in terms of visual style and mood (...

There's no SSS art in it at all. Only TSSbrit wrote:
** The book contains more EB artwork then SSS**
Anyway, it's a great book and a lot of nice concept art. I like it more than the SSS art book.

Interesting, I'm already preparing to take a trip to the Midwest Gaming Classic http://www.midwestgamingclassic.com which starts in two days. But I'd consider hitting this up in two months as well since it's a holiday weekend.

A thread for plot holes
So I've been playing the English version and noticed a few plot holes. One really just stuck out at me. So I figured I'd start a thread. It's I'm on the boat returning to Saith with Ghaleon and Luna. Ghaleon mentioned he wanted to hear Luna's singing voice. He just heard it in the Star Chamber when ...

I tried to avoid buying from GameStop but it appears they're the only place that carries the guide. Even Amazon doesn't have a listing I could find. Oh well.

Re: Xenogears: Great game or mediocre at best?
Without going into a long story about how this game and the original Metal Gear Solid came out the same day (in the US) and how Xenogears sat a few weeks on my shelf, got played a lot and sat a long time again before being completed. I'll cut to the chase. The first half of Xenogears is pretty good....

Saturn MPEG version
Has anyone had luck playing back the video on the Saturn MPEG version on a computer. For one reason or another I've never been successful at doing so. It seems to be a strange mixed mode formatted CD.

Re: MIA; Have you seen these games?
While we're really living in a fantasy world of good sequels and gumdrop smiles, let's drop a Kid Icarus 2. You realize there is a Kid Icarus 2 right? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kid_Icarus:_Of_Myths_and_Monsters Were any of the Lufia games past II worth playing? How many are there total? 4 or 5? ...
