I haven't played Grandia Xtreme or Grandia III, but I definately preferred Grandia I over Grandia II, so I think that's good. Grandia, to me, always seemed more about battles where Lunar was more about story.

Don't get me wrong -- I like Lunar better -- but I think Grandia is better suited to MMORPG format.

That being said, I wonder what this will look like.

Actually, I agree. I think Grandia is a better MMORPG style, due to the format of the battle system.

Apparently it's PC-only, which is surprising. I wonder if GameArts has given up on the Jaapnese market to some extent, considering their games almost seem more popular here than there. I know Lunar is by miles, but I think Grandia is about equal.
